It will need some alterations. I purposely ordered larger than would fit me so as to avoid it being unable to fit me and because it will be worn by someone other than myself in a photography project. Either way, even if it were my size, it would need alterations due to the cut of the skirt. It's a very stiff material so I'm assuming the manufacturer was trying to give leeway for larger hips, but the fabric around the hips jut out in a circular way and give a very curved look, not in a good way. It's really gorgeous though. The sequins fall off easily which doesn't take away from the look since there are so many, but it does leave a lot scattered on the floor :)I've attached some photos, more to come after the shoot. I tried to show the color of it in a shot of the sequins, but I had to use flash so it is definitely less pink than the photo shows (it is pink though, not champagne, not gold). You can also see the "curvy hips" in the photo.

Y’all! This sequin skirt is EVERYTHING! I will be wearing it as I Elope to New Orleans this weekend! I ordered an XL and it fit PERFECT! I am a size 12(ish) in pants, all booty and hips! The top was purchased from my friend’s boutique and it is just PERFECT together. If you are debating getting this skirt, order your regular size and a size up!Update: I wore this as my wedding gown and it was absolutely perfect! I wore 2” heels and it was floor length. The back came up some due to rear end lifting it. No alterations needed!♥️

Gorgeous skirt, but it's at least 4 sizes too small. I ordered one size larger than I usually wear and it's STILL too small. To the seller's credit, she did contact me and offer to custom make an item according to my measurements. I did not take this offer, because I had ordered the skirt for New Year's Eve, not having time to make something myself, and I wound up wearing something else. I would suggest contacting her first with your measurements to make sure you get an item that fits. If this skirt is an example of the quality of her work, she is a fine seamstress.

I read the hips were big, so I sent my measurements and they customized it. It fits perfectly. They also took in the liner, which is a bit too tight and I might undo it. The color is a bit more orange or rose-gold than the picture (which is more of a ballet pink). Lovely lightweight swishy sequin skirt. Yes, it sheds sequins, but there are so many, it doesn't matter. Might be a bit too lightweight for holiday/winter party if you live somewhere cold. I am 5'2", kept the 42 inch length to be floor length with 6" platform heels, got XS.

This is a terrific skirt. Beautifully done and lovely color. I ordered a standard size instead of custom. If you have time, give vender your measurements. The waist and hips are a bit too roomy. For a costume it'll due. For an event, I would alter. Measurements are true to description. Amazed by the price. Not elastic, so it must fit just right. I would rather get a size smaller and wear shapewear or lose some weight to fit this skirt perfectly. If you're not curve, you'll certainly have some alterations.

I'm normally wear a size 8 which for me is a nice fitted look not skin tight. My waist is 29-30 & hips 42. But based on the reviews I ordered a large. It is a little bit big. But the medium was too tight. I'm also 5'7 this skirt is prefect it does drag on the floor which is the look I wanted. The sequin does fall off easily but I've all it is a beautiful skirt. I love it and I'm pretty happy. I gave it a 4 because I have to have it taylored.

I took everyone’s advice and sized up. Normally a medium/large, i ordered an extra large, and it was waaaaaaayyyy too big. It’s also made for curvy girls, so if you don’t have hips, you will have some extra fabric there which looks really awkward. . It was still pretty decent quality considering how inexpensive it was, so I am getting it tailored. It does leave sequins everywhere. The pink color is more of a blush pink than a rose gold, but it’s still beautiful, and it’s not super heavy. Can’t wait to wear it!

the hip thing is weird. i am super proportionate not boasting just know that i am so i can fit almost anything. i'm not saying everything is flattering on me, but i've never met a medium that i couldn't get into. i'm 5'4" and 150lbs which is the definition of average for an american woman. this skirt is for a woman with serious hips. it's well made and the star lost was for the unique fit.
