Michigan Drill "P" type cut-off blade produces a chip narrower than the blade itself and is suited for cutting off, grooving and similar operations. High-speed steel tools are good for most general purpose applications, offering a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. Increased clearance angles on each side of the blade reduces friction. The narrow design conserves material being cut and reduces the heat generated when cutting.
