If I had brought this before (rather than at the same time as) the Art and Science of tracking I wouldnt have brought the latter.This book spells out as much 'technical detail' on tracking as you are ever likely to need. It is a usefull guide to read and learn (although would be more useful in North America!) for the 'hard' theory and then take out 'Animal tracks ID' by Ian Maxwell when you go out tracking.A good book to have on the shelf.

Good book, easy to read and well worth the money. I skip over the stories of grandfather as it all seems a bit far fetched to me but there is clearly wisdom in what Tom Brown writes that can only have been born from many hours in the wilderness. I teach bushcraft skills to kids and this book has given me lots of ideas for games and activities.

I bought this book as a study aid for myself, it's quite simply fantastic. The information gleaned from this book is second to none..........thank you to Tom Brown Jnr for writing this book it's brilliant

Tom Brown has taken the art of tracking to epic levels. He throws out ideas on how to look at the natural world. He even includes exercises of the mind to help understand how to do just that. I have tracked for years, but never read any of his work. Outstanding!

Great book. My kids love hearing me read from it too. Very enjoyable

One of the best How To Guides out there, Fundamentals mixed with spiritual meaning and respect for all living things in the universe. When asked for a recommendation, I immediately point to this book. Those asked, come back say how grateful they are for my recommendation.
