Fantasy Flight Talisman The Dragon Expansion Board Game

This expansion is ideal if you have none of the region expansions (dungeon, highlands, city or woodlands); after a few games it becomes clear that this expansion slows the pace of the game by alot (by picking up random tokens at the start of each turn to decide which of the 3 dragons is king). After a while you find yourself wanting to just get to the finish; thats fine if you have none of the expansions above, but if you want to explore said regions, it will slow down the game even more.It really comes down to a choice between using the dragon expansion, or using region expansions. Dont ignore this expansion though, it really is worth the 5 stars.

We have all of the Talisman expansions and this one is definitely a worthy addition. The Draconic Lords vying to be King adds an interesting element to the game, and can also be used to add a time constraint if that interests you. There are no adventure cards or spell cards so those decks don't get diluted any further, but the dragon cards mean you do draw less of them. The new endings aren't bad although we haven't tried them all yet. All in all I'd highly recommend this expansion to give great diversity to the game.

Brilliant expansion.Me and my boyfriend both love Talisman, though we sometimes find it a bit repetitive even with the corner expansions. However, this expansion spices things up a bit more. It makes the game a little hard, but not by much - it simply changes the way you pick up cards and you have more choice of what you'd like to do during your turn. The new rules are easy to follow and fit perfectly with the original rules and game.Would highly recommend this expansion - definitely one of the best so far.

This is another Fantasy Flight Games Boxed Set, again the quality is of a high nature, and the contents and artwork is superb.If you have Talisman 4th Edition I would highly recommend getting this expansion very much like the others. Excellent addition.

Adds a lot to the base game. Many hours have been lost to this expansion!

Another great expansion for Talisman the 4th

If you play boardgames then you know Talisman. So this review is addressed to those who have wanted to try a foray into fantasy boardgames. Talisman is a classic and something only achieves that by standing the test of time. Talisman is the epitome of that notion in the boardgame world. Every game plays differently and the possibilities are virtually endless. It seems at times that the game has a mind of its own and it's that very unperdictable nature that makes you constantly rethink your tactics. Note please that The Dragon is an expansion to the base game. Get the base game first, and fall in love. Now, having said that, my experience in ordering it was a nightmare. Amazon UK was out of stock and Amazon USA could not ship to Europe, so I ordered through a third party who fulfills orders for Amazon: Buy For Less. Stay well away from them. The product never arrived and even with repeated correspondence with them, they stated there was nothing they could do. They finally gave me a refund, but, I had to order this through Fantasy Flight Games directly. Either do that or wait until Amazon itself has it in stock. Amazon is a great company and Buy For Less Online could learn some things from Amazon, including the importance of customer satisfaction.
