It fits the bill for me.
I saw all the 5 star reviews for this Dalpong radio and decided to buy it. When I had it for the first day, I was ready to return it. Learning to program it was a battle. But in time I began to understand its peculiar programming features. The AM and FM receivers come in very clear. The clock display is high enough to see it from the comfort of my bed. No more squinting to see the time. It's sad but many alarm clock sold today do not come with an AM and FM tuner. Manufacturers are becoming cheap. This one fits the bill, provided you can understand the somewhat confusing instructions. P.S. A lot of reviewers are complaining about programming their favorite radio stations. Here is how to do it: 1. Select your favorite station. 2. Press and hold the TIME/PRESET button for at least 2 seconds. 3. You will see the programming numbers flash (i.e. P01 to P10). 4. Quickly press either the P+ or P- button. 5. When you have the number you want (P01 to P10), Press and hold the TIME/PRESET again. Congratulations! You have selected and programmed one of your favorite stations. Repeat as necessary. I wish they had explained this procedure in the "manual". Cheers!

Pretty generic clock with some good features
Nothing fancy about the clock housing, display or features, but it does what it is supposed to do:PROS: 2 Alarms (both can be either radio or tone alert), battery backup (2 AA), decent radio tuner (finds local stations pretty well), good alarm volume, prominent snooze/dimmer bar (I'm not blindly feeling around the top of the clock when the alarm goes off), pretty easy to turn alarms back on utilizing the last settings, display numbers are about 1 1/4 inches high and easy to read.CONS: Setting the station presets and alarms takes a bit of practice, a bit tedious to find the "alarm off" buttons when I'm waking up (you either press the "radio on/off" button or the corresponding alarm set button - they all look alike when you're half awake), impossible to accurately synchronize the clock time (no matter how many times I've tried to adjust the time it is always 38 seconds fast - not a big deal but frustrating), only two brightness settings on display (bright and not-as-bright) but I've not found it to be too much for sleeping.AUDIO: nothing special at all about the radio speaker (about 2") - sounds OK, station presets are pretty good once you have them setALSO... some reviews indicated that this clock automatically sets itself via satellite - NOT TRUE at all (the product description does not imply this so it's not a problem, I just wanted to clarify)

A surprising disappointment
I would be very happy to keep it except that I find the user manual essentially useless -- at least for manually storing stations. I spent a half-hour trying to store stations following the manual instructions and was unsuccessful. I even e-mailed the seller and got NO ANSWER WHATSOEVER -- very annoying. I'd be happy to hear how to do it . One would think with all the five star reviews that several buyers have figured it out.In addition I tried to contact "Dalpong". No luck, very possibly non-existent.As things stand now, this radio and the Amazon reviewer system are a huge disappointment.

... it's not user friendly
I always like to look at images prior to purchasing a product. I see now the reason why the elderly gentleman was pointing (and laughing) at this radio... that should've been a sign that I should've just taken my business elsewhere. I've used these my entire life and this one was so difficult to 'learn'. The buttons are scattered... it's not user friendly. The reception was messy. I picked up three different stations on 91.5 FM because the flimsy/impotent reception cord had a mind of its own. I will not allow this product to grow roots in my abode. I promptly packaged this product back into its dusty box and tossed it in my 'donate to GoodWill' box... batteries and all. I was proud of myself because it was a left-handed shot... Nevertheless, I guess you get what you pay for. Cluttered buttons, weak reception, and an unhappy experience. I didn't even waste my time to see what the alarm sounded like. I hope the 'laughing man' found a better product... =/

Good clock, wide rim.
Good clock, but rim is much thicker ( wide and deep) in relation to overall diameter than it appears in photo - so aesthetically not as pleasing as one it replaced. But, if you haven't had a radio controlled clock before, you'll like it. They are brilliant. This is a good price.

The alarm features work, that is about the best thing going for this clock
This clock works okay. I found it by searching for an Anatomic clock - which this is not so that part is my fault, but there were no clear instructions for the set up - everyone says it is easy, but I am not an electronic person at all. I had a Sony Cube that died and needed it replaced and this just not do the trick. Also the dimmer feature? Went from landing a plain to regular car headlights. Not such a 'dimmer' really. I had to put a wash cloth over it so it doesn't glare in my eyes. The radio does NOT work that well, even with the long cord, despite what other say and I live in the city.

Not at all like the reviews I read
Not at all like the reviews I read. The buttons on top are so small and it took me several weeks to figure out in the dark which button to turn off the alarm. The dimmer is not dim. It goes from really bright to a less really bright. 2 dimmer settings. I do not like bright lights in my room at night so this is not working out. I do like the big numbers. There are just too many settings and the way it is set up is not user friendly. Planning to return for something a little more simple for a bedside alarm clock.

Nice radio, nice price
I am a news junky so I don't listen to music but I think the sound quality is great for that. What I like best is that the unit is tall and slim so it doesn't take up much space on a night stand, yet has a nice, large time/station display. The red numbers don't bother me and I am a very light sleeper. Haven't tried the light feature that is supposed to lull one to sleep but I like it as a radio.
