Great product.
The benefits for me are too many to mention. Take it every morning on an empty stomach. The taste is quite good.

Solid price and does what I need it to do
So looking at the other reviews, I feel I need to lead with the most important thing. NAC has an incredibly harsh taste that is very hard to cover up. If you're sensitive to sour/bitter, I'd recommend putting this in capsules. I'd say the flavor is akin to like a warhead candy, but with some bitter notes and it doesn't subside until you swallow it. It doesn't bother me though for the amount I save buying in bulk. That being said, I have found some things that help; for me I dump the scoop onto the back of my tongue and then drink immediately; I found coke zero actually seemed to cover the taste a bit. Coffee on the other hand was an incredibly bad choice and somehow seemed to make the flavor stronger. I haven't tried mixing it in anything because I can't imagine they're may things out there that could cover up a flavor like this.As for the effectiveness, like with any supplements, look for a study confirming it can do what you want it to do, as well as the dose used in the study. I don't want to get into specific medical conditions, but that's what I did to figure out what dosage to take (was more than this product recommended) and it seems to be helping.

Colorectal distress gone in 2 days
Mom had Now-brand NAC lying around, tried some of that: 600mg each, feels like that one actually made me energized and awake. I've only taken 900-1200mg of Nutricost's, but this time there's always some level of tiredness I achieve after taking that; sometimes a full-blown nap required. No idea what's happening there. I'll try 600mg of Nutricost's, and see if I feel tired or energized. I would imagine me taking a higher dose of NC's NAC is balancing my brain's glutamate and thus making me tired, though I don't know why Now's is different in the energy department (besides the magic of 600mg possibly focusing on other benefits, or perhaps placebo but IDK).Recently I realized most people say NAC has a sulfur taste/smell, but this one is more like vinegar: which is supposedly a component of NAC as well. It's a little weird knowing that this is the only brand that doesn't have the incredibly distinct smell that is 'rotten egg's?......Regardless, since November my colorectal area (behind the bladder area – almost feeling like the bladder itself even but not actually being the bladder?) had felt very sensitive like when pressing down not very far down onto it, + distressed in general when not touching it. After just 2 days of between 600mg-1200mg doses, I feel a 90% reduction (possibly complete, or 99% reduction as I am checking myself right at the moment!).[I think the distress was from antibiotic usage in Oct/Nov—which turned into an awful IBS all-around. But that led me to eating 2 Gutzy-brand prebiotics/day (and then Heather's Acacia fiber, which is the medicine in "Gutzy," but cheaper/'less convenient') – to cure 90% of it. Unfortunately, this still left my colorectal area pretty shitty-feeling almost all the time, kind of worrying me, and definitely straining my body overall. NAC has now gotten rid of that, seemingly.]Maybe it has the same benefits as other brands, though perhaps some studies used a specific brand. (Though, I don't know if I care about that, since studies tend to not mind using supplements that have fillers in them, for some reason.) I have to wonder what Nootropic Depot's brand is like, though I don't think I'll be running out of this very soon, so I can't try that for awhile. Until then, who knows what other craziness will happen to my life. I take it with Bolthouse Farms berry juice, though that might not be the best option. I'm buying some veggie caps (not sure size, yet) to scoop this stuff up with whenever I take it; will be interesting to feel any differences from not taking with some thick/rich berry juice.Supposedly taking NAC with Alpha Lipoic Acid has profoundly positive neurodegenerative restoration or even possibly reversal... so golly I'll have to buy a tub of that stuff eventually, too! Omg I need to sleep very much so after half-way through this review; my eyes are barely open how am I even typing right now. (Yeah, that's the sleepiness for ya.)

NAC powder is the way to go
I take this NAC powder with their glycine powder (GLY/NAC). GLY/NAC is a powerful combination that increases glutathione levels, especially in older adults. The NAC powder form is a better option than pills because it doesn't contain all the nasty additives that are used in pills to make it easier for the pill to slide through the machine. Taking NAC in powder form you avoid all that. And the price of powdered NAC is cheaper than pills, giving you many more servings for less money. Lastly powder is more absorbable than pills. Great company, great price!

Definitely not "unflavored"
Very easy to use and I love NAC and the benefits of it. I'd say my only complaint is that it isn't unflavored. It's more of a "no flavor added. It is extremely bitter and tastes of sulfur. For me it is worth it though and if it truly bothers you just mix it in juice and it will taste fine.
