Corrected review. It works, but you have to notice the button under the slide that turns it on. This is a good safety feature BUT the manufacturer COVERED THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE BOX. Dumb!! I hope it will stand up to occasional use - we’ll see. But it least I figured it out. I dinged it one star because of the stupid packaging.

Problems:1. Lighter had no protective packaging inside. Within shipping box, lighter was separated from box it comes in and was just sitting loose in the shipping box. Outside shipping box was in perfect condition.2. I had to remove white label that covered instructions. This took forever, and I was never able to get the portion of the white label off of the WARNING list. Who would put a hard-to-remove label on top of the instructions and WARNING statements?3. The instructions are in English, but hard to understand due to poor syntax.4. Lighter is supposed to charge within 2-3 hours. It took 6 hours. (It was charging where I could see it, so I knew immediately when the charging light went out.)5. Lighter does not work. The ignite button has no resistance, which tells me it must be broken. Could this be attributed to the fact that the lighter was shipped without protective packaging?6. Disappointed that I have to return lighter today. Won't try another arc flame lighter. Too many issues.

doesn't work like I thought, no real instructions with the item and I think this did but so small one but you need a magnify lens to read it, will keep but wouldn't buy again

So far have not had any problems and works great with candles when they get low in the container and are hard to reach

The slider is absolutely wonderful I have always struggled with the Bic it’s either wind or I can’t get it to work but this is awesome you can be sitting right in front of a fan and it still works and it never runs out of fuel you just charge it. I will be buying more of them for Christmas presents!

If lighting a lot of new candles the melted wax on the wick can clog the contacts on the head. If this happens heat the head over a flame and melt off the residue. I thought mine had quit working but that was all it was. It's a okay design otherwise.

Great lighter! Charges via USB and lasts for a long time! This is my 2nd Arc lighter. I made sure this one has an indicator light so I can see when it needs to be recharged.

I used this for about a year and it's completely dead. Doesn't charge, no spark, nothing. There is no point in buying this, as the mechanics and/or battery inside is not built to last. It honestly lasted a shorter time than the cheap bic butane lighters I bought for far less money. What a rip-off.
