Heliopan707202 72mm Light Yellow Filter (Yellow)

Choose Heliopan filter on cost and availability to use with my rangefinder lenses when shooting monochrome film. Product is very solid optically, modern filter with modern coatings. Mechanically I rate filters; (1) Leica, (2) B&W an Heliopan (3) Hoya. The way outer rim is designed and manufactured Leica filters provide best grip compared to other makes which is a big deal when removing tiny filter. I have all four brands in my inventory and first three have that solid feel of Made in Germany product.If you need filter for black and white film photography or plan to use Leica M Monocrom camera you may struggle to find desired colour and size in stock (very often on special order) so when you find one don't hesitate to buy it.Highly recommended.

With brass construction of the screw thread ring this filter avoids the risk of becoming irretrievably stuck in the internal filter thread of the host lens. Heliopan are generally a solid and quality make, so you can't really go far wrong here.

A good quality filter that does exactly what I expected.

Very pleased with this filter, materials and construction very high quality. It is extremely thin, I use it on a camera with an attached lens hood and it can be a bit tricky to install or remove because the rim is so thin it is a bit tricky to grasp.

It's a yellow filter for B&W photography; what more can be said other than it does its job in making pictures I like? I like it and it works well with my M3 with Summicron (50mm f2 collapsible).
