need adjustments but love it.
SOOOOOO glad i bought this!!!! this saved my body/head so much! but not alone...it's huge and uncomfy alone...i have a small head with a lot of hair, so it should even out...but alone the hood always slides back and the cold leaks in around the face..BUT..that is easily fixed by wearing another fleece headband around my hairline and covering my ears and it keeps this balaclava up and in the position i want and i can see when turning my head and backing up whatever i'm driving and such. so on it's own, i would hate it, but with the other headband fleece addition it's awesome perfectly warm for way below freezing temperatures during calving season in south dakota. WITH the headband i added, the mouth cover is comfortable tucked under my chin or over my nose and mouth. not so i can't breath or get it wet from my breath, but the right amount to keep me warm. with my addition i give it 5 stars, on it's own...meh...3?

Ok, but quality control
I get really annoyed when I spend hard earned $ on a product that arrives busted. As soon as I took the balaclava out of its bag I saw that one of the tightening strings was not sewn into the seam so was pretty useless. It hadn't come out, it was never sewn in to begin with. I got out my sewing machine, ripped a few stitches out of the seam & resewed it. If I wasn't able to do that I would have sent it back. Other than that, I bought it for daily snowshoeing in my woods with my dogs this winter & it'll do for that. Wouldn't buy from this maker again, tho.

Great for Central NY winters
My fiancé wanted something in pink, of course, that could be worn over her head while walking the dogs or shoveling in the great tundra of Central NY winters. She has nothing but great things to say since I gave this to her. The fleece keeps her warm and she says that it also blocks the wind, which was a big concern. The easy adjustments on both sides work flawlessly and the ability to pull the nose/mouth part down was a big selling point (basically two independent parts: the head/neck covering and the nose/mouth covering. Her only complaint is that the nose/mouth covering does not breath thru well enough while she is wearing her glasses and thus they steam up. Otherwise, she is a much warmer and thus happier outdoors woman. I also took the product out of the plastic that it ships in for a couple of days to air it out before giving it to her as other reviewers had commented on the plastic smell being an issue.

Poor design, cheap quality
Poor design,Way to big, the prong attachment things didn't work, didn't cover my face, gaped down into a cowl neck, didn't even keep my ears warm. It's not even good as a hat, top is pointed so I looked like I was in the KKK. I'd send it back, but I'm still waiting for the UPS to show up for my last return for Amazon. I'm just throwing it away. 0 stars

not was favourite
Had to return these. it had a strong order, which could have been washed off or aired. the inside is nice with dense fleece- it you want thick balaclava. I was put off my the plastic liming on the outer side of it.

Soft, warm and useful
LOVED this balaclava for skiing. Fit great under my helmet, protected my ears, neck and cheeks from windburn and cold. Nice, soft fleece. The drawstrings were a little awkward for me but helped keep the covering where I needed it when I needed it. The lower face area did get a little moist from breathing into it when it was up; I guess a vent or something like I see in the more high-tech balaclavas could have been useful, but this was perfect for the price.Really appreciated the color choices; I went with this lovely dark purple that matched all my other purple gear.

Perfect Balaclava for Woman Walker
This is a perfect Balaclava for me as I walk my two miles in my neighborhood. The pink color shows everyone that it is ME. The design is easy to "close up" and protect head, neck and especially face. Good price too.

Doesn't fog up sunglasses.
It's bulky and without another layer/hood over it, you can still feel the wind and cold come through a little. But it does cover my forehead (very important), and it can somehow fit over the lower edge of my sunglasses enough to avoid the fogging without blocking vision. It's why I gave it 5 stars instead of 4. If I bend over, then glasses will fog. It cinches up well for a custom fit.
