Great, easy set up and installation
I replaced several standard outlets with these in an effort to automate a vacation home, with lights, lamps and security cameras. One outlet is regular non-zwave and the other (bottom outlet) is zwave. They were very easy to install ( you have to have a ground wire, some older wiring doesn't). It paired easily with my Smartthings hub and worked great. After a power interruption it goes back online and reconnects to the zwave network, which was a concern for me at a vacation home. I choose this over wifi outlets because of bandwidth issues at a rural home, and am very happy with my decision. I love Zwave devices and have automated every lamp and light with zwave. Putting them on schedules gives the appearance of movement through the house when we are not there, and makes me feel better. It's been over a year since I installed my first zwave device and haven't had any problems. I'm a mom with no particular experience in electrical and I had no problems installing these in place of standard plugs. The directions are ready to follow...take pics of the wiring before you disconnect if you aren't certain. You do need a hub with these though... I use smartthings and a livewatch alarm panel to control various devices (a device can only be paired to work with ONE hub, so I had to select one or the other...I have half on smartthings, and the other half paired with my alarm...in case one or the other hub malfunctions, I still have the ability to turn on lights)

Yeah I m one of those too............
Let me start by saying I can be kinda anal.. . . I just redid my entire house with LOWES Iris System. I mostly have GE switches and outlets but I had bought one made by this company that had a green light on it instead of blue. Eureka I got the idea to create zones and put blue lit switches in my living room and kitchen and theses green ones in my bedrooms and bathrooms. I also use an IVEE voice command module which is tied into the Iris system and actually to spite IVEE s terrible reviews it works pretty good with Lowe's Iris System and creates a voice controlled home..... It all works pretty good.. I have several on/off switches and dimmers with the green light which work EXACTLY as the GE switches do However............... then I added two of these here outlets............when I tried to tell my voice command to turn these outlets on and off IVEE does not recognize them . Note I can turn them on and off with the IRIS app and they are known and the names are recognized but for some reason and again this is only the outlets not the switches the outlets are not recognized. I tried everything renaming them several times. They show up on IRIS as "Binary Switch" I had bought one branded for "link" at home depot and the same thing happened. I wonder if they come with preinstalled firmware guided to one or the other and since Iris is Lowes and LINK is Home Depots maybe?? well anyway.........I found a way around this mis-recognition. What I did was created groups with IRIS and named them something other then what the outlet is named and then only add the one outlet to the group.. I KNOW....For instance my outlet is near the night stand so I named it night stand. Ivee don't know it exists IRIS does but IVEE don't.. But when I create a group and add only "night stand" to it and then name the group " Night Table" Voila.. Voice control works... Don't ask me why IVEE isn't perfect but I like it pretty well. I like being able to say" Hello IVee Turn off the green Zone" and half the house goes dark. I also have a group called everything inside which is EVERYTHING Inside. it is set to activate in the event of a safety alarm and I like being able to turn everything off all at once..Just for the record I also have the Schlage keypad levers on both doors and they work flawlessly and are set to unlock in the event of a fire... I like that a lot especially since I have pets and I always worry would someone go in? Would someone try? would someone have the gumption to kick the door in and get them out? now all my neighbors know in the event of a fire the doors unlock. GET MY BABIES OUT!

Avoid GoControl products
This was my first foray into the world of Z Wave devices. I purchased a GE Advanced Remote, a Linear W015Z-1 receptacle, and an EnerwaveZW15R receptacle. The reason for buying two different brands of receptacle is because while this was my first Z Wave experience, It's not my first experience with new (to me) technology. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Normally, if the problem is with my understanding, I eventually get everything to work as advertised.I've been working with electric and electronics for decades so I had no trouble replacing the standard receptacle with the Linear receptacle. After securing the receptacle in the electrical box I hurried out to the main circuit box to restore power. When I returned to the living room, the little blue light on the Linear receptacle was glowing. I had already read all the documentation associated with all three products, so I grabbed the GE Controller and tried to assign the new receptacle to a group. The controller said 'Failure' so I tried again, and again, and again, and again. Every time I tried, I got the message FAILURE. At this point I didn't know if the problem was with the Linear, the GE Controller, or me. Perhaps I had done something wrong. So I sat down and read through all the literature again, The GE book is 29 pages, so it took a while to make sure I understood the activation procedure. When I had reviewed everything, I tried again to add the Linear Z Wave receptacle to a group (at his point it was the ONLY device in the Group). Still no luck after several more tries. My next step was to swap the Linear with the EnerWave I had purchased at the same time. Out to the circuit box to turn off the power, a ten minute swap, and then out to turn the power back on. On my first try to add the EnerWave to Group 01, I was rewarded with the message SUCCESS. I turned it off and on several times, then put the switch plate on the receptacle and plugged in the lamp. A final test showed it to be working fine. The following morning I installed the Linear in another electrical box and once again tried to get it linked with the GE controller. After twenty minutes I finally gave up. Then I walked to my computer and ordered another EnerWave receptacle from Amazon to replace the Linear product I had purchased. The new EnerWave receptacle arrived two days later from Amazon. It took ten minutes to install it, and three seconds to get it working with the controlled.I tried to reach out to the Linear manufacturing people, who appear to be part of the GoControl products, which appears to be a subdivision of Nortek in California, but it's been four days now and they haven’t bothered to respond.I still don't know if the problem is an interface issue with either the GE Controller or the Linear Z Wave Receptacle, but I'm going to assume the Linear product is defective and return it since the EnerWave receptacles are working fine. My advice to anyone considering GoControl or Linear is to avoid those products completely.

Ideal para Smarthings
Lo compré para usar con un Samsung Smarthings y funcionó a la perfección. La instalación la hice yo mismo y el sistema lo reconoció de inmediato. Para un smart-home es muy recomendable.

Works fine, although fairly bulky.
Works with a Wink hub, although you have to look for it as a "light" rather than as an outlet. However it's bulky and you'll have a hard time fitting in connectors in a standard box. Note that one of the outlets is controlled while the other is passthrough.
