Taps arrived very quickly. Excellent quality.Packed very well - which reflects the quality of the taps. Very pleased with my Bristan experience. If there were more stars - I would have given them .

Would have been 5 . However even though I didn't require the click waste it was heavily scratched. Tap snacks of quality though

This is by far one of the better short mixer taps i've seen... ceramic fittings inside mean with correct installation it will last years beyond its competitors and from a design aspect is a stunner!easy one handed operation with up and down adjusting the flow and left/right regulating the temperature, makes finding a preferred setting extremely simple as you can turn it off without having to reset the controls to centre, the wide spout also creates a wonderful waterfall effect, the added benefit of which is that water doesn't come screaming out at full bore.inside the box you'll find all the fittings required for the job and they go to standard 15mm compression couplings, don't forget some PTFE Tape or Jointing Compound (for potable supply otherwise you can't drink it) **HOWEVER** plumbing is not to be undertaken if you're not sure or confident in what you're doing, make sure you can isolate your water supply to the taps or shut the water off at the main stop and if in doubt, call a professional.

This is a surprisingly heavy mixer tap and plug set, which admittedly does looks rather magnificent, being finished in polished chrome and having a very modern design. However, I'm not fully convinced by all elements of the design. For me, the water spout is too wide and whilst this particular design aspect does contribute and accent the square block design of the mixer tap, I would have prefer it to be a little bit finer.The swivel action on the mixer tap i.e. to move from hot to cold water or to turn the tap on and off, is very smooth and really goes to prove that this mixer tap is made from very high quality materials. The polished chrome finish does suffer from being marked by finger prints but this is no different from any other mixer set and on the plus side, it is very easy to polish these off with a soft towel.The plug set is of equally high quality, with the opening/closing action of the stopper being achieved by way of a simple, but solid click.I have no doubt that this mixer tap and plug set will fit very well with any modern basin and provided you love the design, I can't see any reason as to why this wouldn't be a serious contender.

This review concerns the Bristan DSC BAS C Descent Basin Mixer, Chrome, price at review £96.99.An extremely high quality basin tap, part of a complete range for both kitchens and bathroom.Having sold many ‘bibcock’ type taps many years ago, I was very interested to experience more modern fittings.This basin mixer delivers on all fronts, superb packaging, beautifully finished product complete with all the necessary fittings nestled in the base of the foam lined package together with comprehensive fitting instructions should you feel able to enjoy an hours plumbing.The mixer movement is steady but very gives a very subtle adjustment with very little effort.Our only problem now?We need to replace the bath taps that now look and feel so dilapidated alongside the basin.

It’s a while since I bought a tap but the last one didn’t come as nicely presented as this one. I know that the packaging just gets disposed of after the tap is fitted but it certainly enhances the experience of buying one of these from Bristan. The tap itself is very solid with a good weight to it and a robust feel. It really does look very nice with a particularly bright chrome finish and a wide, modern design.I particularly appreciated that the mixer tap arrived complete with everything needed to fit it including the flexible tails, all of the fixings and even a tool to tighten the nuts. My set came complete with the matching pop-up waste set although I note that it wasn’t mentioned in the item description. The whole set was surprisingly easy to fit and within a short time I had a sparkling new set of fittings on my sink. It’s a lovely to set to look at and to use and I recommend it completely.
