My wife decided that she wanted a flat iron hair straightener and she thought this model looked the best. When she got it and used it for the first time she was very excited. It was easy to use and she got professional results doing it herself.The model has some very good features and it really is a high quality product. Just a couple of issues you should be aware of:1. If you plug in the flat iron and it will not come on, press the reset switch on the cord circuit breaker to reset it.2. The unit does not have an automatic shut off timer so make sure you turn it off or unplug it. If you have children I would unplug it and store it properly away after it was cooled off. But definitely deserves 5 star

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my niece. So far it seems to be working nicely and she is learning how to flat iron her hair all by herself. This, along with a heat protectant, helps smooth out the frizzy hair that everyone has in the south. This flat iron works just as well as the expensive ones.Personally I rely heavily on the reviews of others when I'm shopping. Not the best. Not the worst. Gets the job done

Not as good as the one I had before.

It does OK. Nothing special.

I have naturally curly hair so it takes forever to straighten. This flat iron is ok, but I have to keep going over my hair to get it straight. I need another CHI.

Does not have a temp control, I didn't pay attention when I bought the product. I returned this for one that had a temperature control.

This flat iron worked great the 6 times it heated up. Then it stopped heating...AT ALL. The light doesn't come on either.
