Not your average Lebanese cookbook.
This book is a wonderful combination of an authentically presented local food tradition and the people who make and eat it , gorgeous photography, and DELICIOUS recipes. Even if you don't have a saj to cook your griddle bread (still trying to figure out how to get my hands on one), the modern American kitchen will still produce something yummy. I will be keeping an eagle eye out for any and all cookbooks this author writes, and I have to recommend her other cookbook, "Mouneh", as well. These books are expensive, but worth it.
