One hopes to never have this thing go off and so far it hasn’t. Therefore, I can’t really say it works, but the test button works so it has to be operating.Upon first receiving I was a bit confused with its blank screen. Several times I tested it it waiting for digits to show up on the screen. They never came. I decided to come back to the product page and there was a video that showed it is not supposed to have numbers or anything on the display screen UNLESS you have a smoke or carbon monoxide problem.I wasn’t really sure where to put this. It’s my only carbon monoxide tester so I wanted it closer to my basement door. Therefore, I put it on top of a shelf. Hopefully that’s a good spot. Blends in well. Nice that is smaller and not really noticeable.10/10 would recommend and get again.

I like that this works as both a CO detector and a smoke detector. It's small, the test alarm is very loud, and it takes 3 AA batteries, which is nice as we always have those in supply at our house. The only concern I have is I decided to put it in a room upstairs, so I had it sitting in a bag to go upstairs and it went off one day, twice, just out of the blue. None of our other monitors went off, and we didn't have any gas or smoke problems anywhere that we could identify. It hasn't happened again, but I'm not sure now if it may defective, or what exactly. I've hit the test button a couple times since just to check it and it seems to be working just fine. I'll update here if it happens again, or we discover what caused it to go off in the first place.

Anyone who owns a gas furnace or gas generator should have a carbon monoxide detector (multiple) in their home. While this one have a live readout of the PPM, it does show the reading when you press the TEST button. I tested this by running my car in my garage with the garage door close and this quickly detected the dangerous levels of CO in the garage. The audible beep is very loud and clear.

This device works and I am glad it requires batteries I have around the house rather than the typical 9V batteries. It’s easier to keep a detector running using AAA batteries. I keep many more of those around the house. The display and sound are good, and the size isn’t too big.

This is a nice detector at a very reasonable price. It looks nice for a detector buy I've never understood putting a co2 on the ceiling. Co2 sinks, smoke rises. Do you put a smoke detector on the floor? To me its just added protection if the one on the floor fails but if a room fills with enough c02 to make it to the ceiling it's possibly already too late. While this is a good unit at a very reasonable price, I recommend a stand alone co2 for the floor as well.
