this door knocker arrives very well finished and with a quality feel to it.installation is simple if you're capable of drilling straight holes and can use a level. basic diy skill level is all that is required.has a nice loud knock which makes it easier to hear when people are at our front door who refuse to use the doorbell so we can tell they're there now when in the more distant parts of the house.

Heavy and stylish door knocker
When the weather improves, I am having the exterior of my house painted, and my front door is badly in need of a make-over. This door knocker is just what I need. It's simple and stylish, an attractive matt black, and really solid and heavy. A friend of mine has one like it and I'm always impressed when I knock on her door!I haven't yet fitted it as I don't trust my DIY skills, but it looks simple enough, and comes with two different lengths of screws. My current door knocker is a standard Victorian brass one, which not only needs cleaning but also doesn't produce a very loud knock. With this new door knocker, hopefully I won't now miss any more Amazon deliveries!
