Necklace for Stress Relief, Breathing Necklace to Relieve Stress and Anxiety Stop Smoking for Men Women (Black and Silver)

Two necklaces, but the whistle doesn't work

A nice two-pack of necklaces (I ordered the black and silver ones) which are ideal for someone who fidgets a lot of is looking to calm themselves down at times. The main body of the necklace is a whistle-type object that, whilst it doesn't produce any noise, can be blown into to regulate breathing and/or just give your hands something to play with every so often (I don't smoke, but I can imagine that this might be helpful for someone who is trying to quit).

The whistles don't come with any instructions so it's really difficult to know what to do with them, which isn't great for someone with anxiety. I bought them for a family member but decided to try one myself to see how they work/demonstrate, so a pack of two seemed ideal, also that we could colour code which belonged to whom. So two of us have tried them. I'm not sure if they're meant to make a whistling sound (I read about one where the idea is to practise blowing slowly so that it doesn't make a sound). A faint rushing air sound is the only sound with these, just as you'd hear from blowing through a straw. Blowing very slowly so as to try and not make any noise at all does make the user slow right down, however if there's any background noise at all (such as at school, work, on public transport, with passing traffic, even in a noisy home) I don't think you'd hear this: given that these are for wearing in all situations, I think it would be more helpful if there was a noticeable difference between fast panicky breathing out and slow, paced, steady breathing out. I know that slow breathing can help greatly to calm anxiety and panic attacks. Perhaps I'm missing something important and just need clear instructions?

The breathing tubes arrived in a small transparent ziplock bag. This is reasonable given the price, but does not make them ideal for gifting.My partner suffers from panic attacks which can lead to fast breathing and over oxygenation of the blood, and hence dizziness. The suggested approach to control this is to breath into a paper bag which limits oxygen intake. I am guessing that the idea of this device is that it slows down your breathing in a similar way, as the instructions say to breath in through your nose and then out through the tube. Due to the limited diameter of the tube, it restricts your breathing rate and hence avoids over oxygenation.So much for the theory. As it happens my partner has not had a panic attack since the breathing tube has been received and I am therefore unable to confirm its effectiveness.Overall it looks attractive and is reasonable value for money, but I have had to knock off 1 star purely as I have been unable to confirm its effectiveness.

These were bought to help with stopping smoking and to help with anxiety unfortunately due to the length of the necklace this product is not as useful as would hoped. I like how you get both a silver and gold option so you can coordinate these with your outfits, however, these cannot be coordinated with outfits due to the length of the necklace. A necklace could be bought however it needs to be the same size so the mouthpiece can fit through and this is not really ideal as you have to buy further products to make this products more useful. This may be better for use carrying it or keeping it safe in the bag but again you cannot use the product as desired because of the necklace so I would not recommend this product.

Simply effective.Breathing has such an impact on stress. This little metal tube can help you regulate that.Also a good “crutch” when feeling anxious.May help with stopping smoking etc as it is something that you have in your hands

I quit smoking cigarettes 5 years ago and ever since have constantly vaped. Over the past three weeks I have successfully quit vaping now too by using these straws around my neck to draw on when stressed. The attached necklace was too short for my own neck so I used a lanyard for an ID tag. These straws are still being used and I have found them perfect for the job. I am glad ai found these!

I ordered these as I saw it can help with regulating breathing during an anxiety attack.They came packaged together neatly in a little cellophane bag. They look identical except for their colour and look lovely and shiny. There are no instructions included so I had to look online to see if I was using the necklace correctly. There's no sound created when you breathe through the hole - I quite like this as I wouldn't want to draw attention to myself using it. Instead I was able to focus on just breathing. I can see how this would help with anxiety.
