I ordered these figurines to sit on the desk of my one of kids, who's a fan of the Orangutan Jungle School show. The figurines are solid and sturdy, so I don't feel worried about them breaking if they accidentally tumble to the ground. I appreciate the ridges that denote textures in the orangutans' body hair, the level of detail in their faces (even tiny lines beneath the eyes) and fingers, and the colour gradations from orangey-brown hair to dark tan skin.For the most part, the figurines I received are fairly identical to the ones in the product ad images. There are just some minor colouring differences, such as slightly less black shading on the faces of mine, especially around the nose.

Heavy duty (my kid dropped it and it didn’t break at all lol) we got this for my kids animal project for school and it worked out great!

These figurines have a good amount of detail. One arm of the mum is removable and adjustable at the shoulder joint. They’re quite small but look nice as decorative pieces. I have a good collection of these animal figurines and my kids like them.

FYI, Schleich figures are my benchmark for these kind of toys. With that in mind, these two adorable orangutans are not quite up to that high standard. Mostly, they just do not have the same intricate detail. I would place them more in line with Safari LTD, my second go to for animal figures. Like Safari LTD figures, these two sweeties are very life like, they are in natural poses, and the have really good faces. The face and eyes are what I scrutinize the most, and I like these two. I was unsure if I would like the articulated arm on the Mama, as it can sometimes throw off the aesthetic, but they blended the joint nicely. It is also a great bonus for play-ability. Also a bonus, two toys for the price of one. I love Schleich, but you do pay for the detail, and these two are a great price and a great toy.
