Perfect as a mesh cover over a pond filter inlet pipe. Fish and tadpoles are happy, can’t comment on use for birds!

Lovely and easy to manage, strong too

I have tried a good number of peanut feeders, but this is definitely the best. I already had one bought in a shop and sought out the same model on Amazon to buy two more. My feeders are visited by half a dozen or so red squirrels (I'll wait while you get over your jealousy . . . ) and they simply destroy weakly built feeders to get at the nuts more quickly. These ones have stood up to the squirrels admirably, and they are also very easy to fill, no ridiculous screwing or jamming mechanisms - just a simple and secure flip top, like it says on the tin.

Contrary to what the previous customer said this feeder hasn't withstood the efforts OUR local squirrel made to get at the nuts!! He's almost succeeded gnawing away the plastic. Sorry Mr.Squirrel, I'm removing the feeder before you do any more damage and will try and find something better ;-)

This is a good bird feeder and it is very easy to fill up with peanuts, thanks to it's flip top lid.But we have had one before and the plastic hinge on the lid broke which means the top won't stay on and the rain makes the peanuts wet which is why we are buying this new one. I would have bought a different one with a better lid but my wife wanted the same again.They aren't expensive and they do the job for a while, maybe a year with normal use.The other criticism I have is that there is no perch for the birds but that must be OK as this feeder is recommended by the BTO.This was delivered very quickly, good service from seller.

Perfect feeder. Great price. Well built and keeps pesky squirrels, starlings and magpies away from the suet balls.

The wires of the nut container are coated with plastic. As you can see from the photo, the birds (in particular bigger ones) remove it when they go for the nuts. If one is familiar with the problem of microplastic pollution one does not like that a) the plastic ends up in the birds bodies and b) in ones garden.They should use stainless steel instead of using the plastic coating.

A little flimsy and small for bigger birds!!

Cage holds raw shelled peanuts very well, and holds just the right amount. I fill it halfway. This is not the right feeder for unshelled peanuts. The cage openings are big enough for the birds to get at the peanuts but too small for a sqirrel to get any peanuts out. It was hilarious watching a determined squirrel try to unsuccessfully rob this peanut feeder. Peanuts will not fall out onto the ground. Birds can easily hold on and nibble away.. Feeder is very easy to re-fill without detaching from branch -- top flips up so you can put peanuts in.

wirklich, für den Preis absolut Klasse nur leider auch Plastik dran. Das Befüllen ist super einfach durch den Verschluss und den umklappbaren Bügel... Ohne Plastik hätte ich 10 Sterne vergeben 😉
