Big hit with the kids
Kids are so easy to impress. My niece and nephew thought these were the coolest things ever and really liked using them. When I left their house I took one so they could see how far they could still talk to me and it was almost 7 miles before we lost contact. Not bad for a kids toy I must say.

Good FRS 2way radios perfect for kids.
These are a pair of two-way FRS radios with good transmission power to communicate well over 1 mile (depending on the conditions). The camo colors are catchy and soft, wife fall in love with them the minute saw the box, everything is nice, the radios and the lanyard.Battery is rechargeable via USB-C, 2 cables are included but you need to use to wall adapter or battery bank.Easy to use, easy to configure. They are ready to talk to each other as soon as you turn then ON, if you want to change channels and privacy codes you do it in less than 1 minute, make sure both radios get the same channel and code and voila, you are ready to go.I use my professional VHF-UHF radio to listen and to interact with them, it makes it fun and the bonding gets tighter, the lanyard allows them to go handsfree and you can also activate the VOX feature, the won't even need to press the PTT button to talk. The audio is good for that little speaker, do not expect Kenwood or Uniden quality but for the price this pair of radios are a keeper. The flashlight feature is plenty sufficient to walk on a hall and safely walk on the night. At the end these are 2way radios and that's what's matter.Yes, recommended.

If you aren't sure what to get a kid, walkie talkies are always an excellent choice
Walkie talkies are one of my go to gifts for kids when I just can't figure out what to get them. I've never seen a single kid disappointed when they open the box and see the walkie talkies, it's usually one of the first gifts to get unboxed and used. These are nice. Not professional kind of nice. But kid kind of nice for sure. They fit in their hands perfectly. They're easy to use. They have auto voice pickup. The description says they have a 1 mile range, I think that might be pushing their true capabilities but I can't say that for sure since I've never tried them a mile apart. They're kid friendly as far as durability. And they are rechargeable - no more buying batteries by the case. I actually keep a set around the house just in case I need a quick gift because I know every kid seems to love getting them. And these are nice ones!

Very nice - best "kids" walkie talkies that I've used.
These are labeled for kids, but these are soooooo much nicer than any walkie-talkie that I've ever had as a kid. These are actually quite well made FRS radios, that get a decent range for the size, and has features you'd expect from good-quality FRS radios like voice activated and security code for the channels. The housing is solid. The screen is simple to understand. The speaker can get quite loud for how small these are. They fit easily into a hiking pack or around neck. These are great for camping/hiking/hunting to keep track of your group. A full battery charge should last about a day's use based on how fast ours were drained after using them. They are USB-C for charging and charge pretty fast.As a kid's item, these are the read deal, don't waste your time on toys. These are a reasonable price, and as someone who was interested in this sort of thing as a kid, I would have been thrilled to get walkie-talkies that were so functional. Great for introducing people to and getting people interested in radio.

Battery Dies Quickly
I have barely used these, and it seems like the charge runs out so quickly. The chirping for the dying battery is incredibly annoying and loud. Otherwise, these are of high quality and come in crisp. I also wish it was easier to switch between channels as it is sort of a "seek" type rather than just pushing up one channel to the next. So pairing them to the same channel can be annoying. We've had strangers come across the channel and need to change frequently. Love that there is a light included. We are using this in our house as it is hard to hear from the opposite side.

Cute Walkie Talkies
I got these for my nieces because I love to be the chaotic, fun loving uncle. They are bundles of energy and any toys they get them running around are a possibility for me when looking for gifts. These walkie talkies are perfect to get them going, playing and having a great time. They work surprising well at a good distance. My brother has a basement, two floors and then an attic. These worked clearly from the basement to the attic. I'm impressed. The flashlight is a cool touch. It would be cool for summer night hide and go seek, which I hope to play with them this summer. The battery life is strong. They've only charged once or twice in the several hours of use. It's an overall nice product for the price.

A little quiet during transmit, but overall decent budget walkies.
I love the feature set of these radios. A lot of the other "kid oriented" walkie talkies don't have a side PTT button, or USB-C charging, so these are pretty much feature packed! When you look at the price of these, remember that they include a built-in rechargeable battery and you don't need to buy batteries for these. That's worth something! We found that when you are transmitting and talking, these make your voice quieter / softer compared to other kid FRS walkie talkies where our voices were noticeably louder. I suspect that this could be due to the microscopically tiny microphone hole in the chassis, so I'm going to try widening the hole with a drill bit to see if that helps.Another small issue to note. It appears that one of the rechargeable batteries is loose so there's a rattle. It hasn't caused any problems yet but thought I would mention it.
