This unit does not allow calibration of the temperature sensors. The Lamp Sensor reads 105 degrees on boiling water while the preheat temperature sensor reads 75-73 degrees on boiling water. This makes the unit dangerous when soldering leaded components as the preheater can get too high and drift the lamp to higher temperatures under the board. This unit used to have calibrating potentiometers but it seems they where removed to save a couple of dollars. Like always products from China tend to compromise quality for cost savings via the Cheap, Cheap mentality. Hope they realize soon Quality is essential and product specifications should match actual functions of the product. BTW, PUHUI does not have customer support. Their Email Contact in their website does not work at all. Distributors cannot contact them either to solve problems. Don't buy this unit and don't buy PUHUI products. You are on your own.
