The peeler is very wide and amazingly sharp! Makes very nice very curls as well as peeling. I found the julienne blades less useful. They are so wide, fine and sharp that it is difficult to hold the vegetables firmly enough to pull the blade through, and not loose some skin! I rated it "5" because I didn't buy it for that blade, but be forwarded if that is your purpose.
