Fun, steamy, funny. Overall great read!
I found this book to be a great time! It was well written, and specifically the descriptions were fun, relevant for each scene or setting, and gorgeously written. I love the different endings and love interests. It is wonderful to see both male and female options and all stories were a great time. I have read through many of the story lines and keep picking through to find different scenes or endings I missed.. Thank you to the authors for writing such a wonderful book!

Hilarious
This was so funny! I got this book because I remembered the "choose your own ending" stories my kids used to read and thought , why not try it? It proved to be greatly entertaining. You can go back and choose to read it in another version by simply changing your answers to the choices given. I laughed out loud. I was great fun!

Great Escape!
I don't read many romance novels, but this was a great escape from what I had been reading. This made me laugh so much and I really loved all of the different story lines. Some of the stories were predictable while others definitely surprised me (in a good way)!! I was cracking up with some of the language used for the romantic parts, I especially liked the word choices used in the Scottish Highlands. This was my first choose your own adventure book and yes, I went through keeping track of every decision and went back once I got to an ending. My husband called me crazy, but I wanted to know what all of the endings were and what I missed!! I know most people will probably not read it this way, but here are the few qualms that I had while reading this. There were a few times where a few of the endings were almost exactly the same. They would use the same quotes from the characters in different endings but add a little bit to one of the endings. I wish that even if they were pretty much the same ending that they would have written something a little bit different and not use the exact same text. The other thing that I didn't like, which is similar to the last, but there were times in the stories where they repeated themselves within a paragraph. For example, it would be something like this: I was thinking I was ready, and I could tell that he was also thinking that he was ready. So I told him I was ready, and he replied that he was also ready. I would get annoyed, but luckily it didn't happen too often. I honestly still really enjoyed reading this and if you are looking an easy and not to raunchy romance then this is a great choice for you!

Blind or visually impaired people can't read this Kindle book because instructions don't have page numbers; please update ASAP
I bought this unique book yesterday because I enjoy choose your own adventure stories. This is my third one and, unlike Animorphs: The First Journey (Alternimorphs series) & Power Play: Return to Terror Tower (Give Yourself Goosebumps Special Edition), I cannot follow the instructions at the bottom of certain pages to continue the story. For example, “Do you accompany your tyrannical employer to the fundraising ball for the Society for the Protection of Widows and Orphans of the War? The company may be atrocious, but balls are fun! If so, turn to this page.Or do you run away from Lady Craven, only to find yourself with no other means of survival than to sell your young body into the cold, cruel night? If so, do not go to any other place in this book, for you will be utterly doomed and dead from syphilis within a year.Sorry. This may be a choosable-path adventure, but as a penniless young unmarried woman at the start of the nineteenth century, your options are somewhat limited. They will get better, though! Turn to this page.” Unfortunately, the only way I know what page to turn to is from the description on the Amazon site, which says “turn to page 67.” Throughout this book, all instructions say “this page” without an accompanying number. I'm extremely disappointed, if only The blind and visually impaired could read this book like everyone else. I would really appreciate it if you could update this particular book with clearly marked page numbers in all the instruction prompts in this book. 09/24/18 Update: excellent news! There may not be page numbers, but each time where the instructions throughout the book say “turn to this page,” it is a link that blind orr visually impaired people can double tap in their Kindle app, and go directly to their chosen selection. Thank you so very much for fixing my original frustration with this book, since blind And Visually Impaired individuals are now able to create their own adventure story and I, for one, really appreciate that.

Even better than expected
I was very into choose your own adventure books as a child, & I've started to see their popularity rise again as an adult. I was excited but also nervous; would I still be able to enjoy the work of interactive reading?Would there be a cohesive story I could really get into? & despite the Jane Austen on my shelf, I don't have much experience reading Regancy-era, or historical romance in general. I took the plunge anyway, & I'm glad I did.I devoured this book & all of it's storylines in 3 days. I think the first ending I came to & the choices I made along the way made just the absolute best story in the entire book. Every character & plot was fun & charming in it's own way. The way the storylines intertwined cohesively so that you could have many adventures in one read-through kept me from putting the book down. I had to read everything that could possibly happen to me, but my instinctual choices always seemed to have the best outcomes. Some of the endings where you end up with someone other than the main 4 options were honestly some of my favorites. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun reading.

I love the idea of the book
I guess I just wish that I had known when I purchased the book (pre-ordered) that it was meant to be satirical and the writing would be hammy and not actually erm... romantic. For me, the intrigue was lacking and the plots relied way too heavily upon overused tropes and scenes devoid of any real passion, and often in this case, any real or substantial context. I love the idea of the book, just not the book itself. I'm going to give it to a friend and make sure she knows not to take it so seriously, as it's not what one would exactly consider to be literature. This could be a great gift for your friends who don't like reading. Two stars for its concept and occasional humor.

Fun and fast ride
It was an interesting book. It was my first interactive book like this and I enjoyed reading it. It's one of those books where you don't really think a lot about the plot holes or the character development. It is to be taken as a loud satyre of romance books.

Much fun
Much Fun. Had similar books of the fantasy genre as a teen and loved them . Still enjoy it as an adult . :-)

Drop everything and read this, if you’re an avid fan of Regency romance but don’t take it too seriously.
5* Drop everything and read this – if you’re an avid fan of Regency romance but don’t take it too seriously. You will love the parade of familiar characters, brilliantly parodied by two gifted writers, and ingenious plot-lines. There are plenty of giggle and laugh-aloud moments.4* Highly recommended – if you enjoy good writing and want a good laugh.3* You could try this - if you’re alone, fed up with TV, video games and have nothing better to do. You may enjoy it.2* Find something better to do - if you’ve no sense of humour. This book is seriously FUNNY.1* Avoid at all costs - if you’re an avid fan of Regency romance and take it seriously. You’ll find your taste ridiculed and lampooned and you may never recover.

Better off buying a dating sim
I wanted to like this, I really did! Two of my favourite things, romance and CYOA in one item! The problem is that although the writing is perfectly solid, there's something missing in the juncture between game play - and even if you don't consider yourself a gamer, gameplay is what this is - and writing structure. A novel gets the chance to build up a full head of steam in terms of pacing and structure, but whenever My Lady's Choosing starts to get interesting it is interrupted by "if you want to follow the maid, go here". A game has the advantage of focusing on dialogue and exposition with the "if you want to follow the maid" stuff integrated into the user interface, but is potentially intimidating to people who've never played games. Give it a shot if you're interested, but also consider trying a dating sim or if you're really ambitious, playing Dragon Age.

Terrible book, but you'll have fun!
I bought this book after seeing it on TikTok purely because it is a regency romance smashed into a Choose-your-own Adventure. Like most other 90's kids, I loved those books; going through all the main storylines, then starting at the beginning to finish up all the random missed pages (I'm not the only one, right?). Those things were practically currency among 11 year olds in the dark ages before game consoles and the internet. So you can imagine with how much hopeful nostalgia I approached this book. Jane Austenny setting? Choose my own Adventure? Sounds fricken awesome.Well, it wasn't. At least, not the way I was expecting it to be. You know when a book is so bad and cringy that it's hilarious? The plot so nonsensical that you have to reread the page before asking yourself 'what the eff am I reading?'? Yeah, one of Those.Did I have a good laugh? Why, yes I did.Did I tell my friends about the book? Also guilty.Do I feel the need to read something literary right after to make sure I still have a handful of functioning braincells? Oh yeah. This book is just stupid enough to be enjoyable, and also really easy to put down. I recommend it to anyone heading on a vacation where they'll either be too busy herding children to read anything coherent, or too drunk to care.
