Very Impressed
Very excited to try this out as it is a launch monitor in my price range. The packaging feels high-end and definitely was impressive. Can't believe how small this thing is. Great hard-sided carrying case gives me confidence it will be protected in my bag. Love that I can customize the lofts to match my clubs, and it seems to be very accurate. Looking forward to adding this tool to my range sessions. After testing along side a Trackman, yardage and ball speed were very accurate. Swing speed was a bit hit and miss. Ultimately I'm more interested in distance for my range sessions, so this product will be perfect for my primary needs.

Inconsistent but good for the price
I compared this launch monitor to my Garmin Approach R10 by having each launch monitor track about 20 shots and comparing data for each shot. I have attached three examples of the comparisons. The Garmin device has been proven to be quite accurate even when compared against $10-30,000 professional simulators so in my opinion, the Garmin provides a solid benchmark at what is still a relatively inexpensive golf monitor.I am only giving this IZZO launch monitor 4-stars because of the price, if it were $100 more I would have to give it 3-stars. I found that club head speed is quite inaccurate for about half of shots but also generally a bit too high for every shot. Ball speed seems to be the most accurate reading with the IZZO monitor since it was almost always within 2MPH of the Garmin. Distance is generally "good enough" with the IZZO but only with well struck shots. If you top a ball a bit then the IZZO readings should be completely ignored.Unfortunately, I failed to capture the comparison for a 'topped' ball but I will try to add that to my review later. One example that I recall specifically was a horribly struck ball (I am NOT a good golfer) that I severely topped. The Garmin said the ball went 40 yards which would seem to be pretty accurate but the IZZO monitor said the ball went 170 yards.I assume this is because the IZZO doesn't actually track the ball but simply estimates distance based on ball speed, club speed, angle, loft, etc. This is also why the IZZO cannot give you even 25% of the data that the Garmin can such as spin rate, launch angle, deviation distance and angle, club face angle, club path angle and many more. All testing was performed in my backyard golf cage with the IZZO setup at the specified 5 feet from the ball and the Garmin setup at 8 feet from the ball. The cage is a fully enclosed 10 foot square cage. For an inexpensive launch monitor, as long as you can live without more shot feedback and you generally strike the ball well, this IZZO monitor will be a good tool in your toolbox for very basic shot data. Keep in mind that relying solely on this monitor could 'trick' you into thinking that your shots are much better than they really are since it is unable to provide shot deviation, meaning, you could see that you are consistently hitting your 6-iron 180 yards but have no idea that most of them are ending up 50 yards to the right or the left.I would recommend this monitor as a very basic monitor at a budget price but if you can afford a bit more expensive unit then I would fully recommend the Garmin R10 (currently $479) over this monitor for all of the reasons I have already mentioned.

Easy to setup and use
This product is great! The setup is simple and the screen is easy to read. It has a nice slim case that fits in my golf bag perfectly. It even comes with a measuring tape to get the exact distance from the tee for it to optimally read your swing and ball. Love using it on the range

Easy to use launch monitor with good results
The IZZO SWAMI Launch Master - Golf launch monitor is a useful device. In the box comes the launch monitor, case, 5 foot measuring tape, batteries and instructions. It's a very small form factor so it's easy to take with you to the range or wherever you typically hit balls. For me, this will mainly be for back yard - golf net purposes. It measures roughly 8Hx3Wx1D inches and takes 4 AA batteries to power. Setting up the device is very straight forward. You power it on, use the up/dn arrows to select the club you're using, set it up 5 feet behind you and hit balls with at least 8 feet of ball flight distance in front of you. The device measures primarily swing speed, balls speed, smash factor and carry distance. The device has a history and will give you an average of the distances you hit. The lofts can be adjusted to be specific to your club lofts. There's also voice that tells you the distance you hit the ball after each shot. The volume for this can be adjusted.I've been out to use this launch monitor a few different times in the back yard. I don't have any other devices to compare this against for accuracy so this assessment is based on what distances and clubs speeds I know that I hit. I just recently went to a PXG iron fitting and while I was there I hit my own 7 iron on the Trackman for baseline numbers. My 7 iron (32 deg) goes around 167 yards at 85 mph swing speed. Hitting that same 7 iron into the net in my back yard measured my swing speed in the mid 80's with distance from 162 to 167. So I feel that the device is fairly accurate. I won't get into all of the club data but each of clubs were very close in yardage to what I know I hit. Adjusting it behind you can be a little finicky at times. An inch too far left or right, or angled incorrectly, may give you a slightly different reading than what you're expecting. After the initial set up it's performs very well. This device isn't competing with units like Trackman or GC Quad, but it will help you fine tune your swing and give you fairly accurate feedback on how far you're hitting your clubs. I honestly feel that the price-point may be a little high considering other products out there on the market that are within this range, but it's a solid product and worth the money. 4/5 stars.

High hopes...
Ok, my review is a bit harsh on this, for mainly one reason. Well, two.First, had high hopes for this product. It has all the types of things you'd want to have with you at a driving range - like audio & visual feedback on how far you just hit the ball. Since that's practically impossible at most ranges since they move them forward and back all the time and the flags tend not to move so you really don't know where like 150 yards is.Btw, you can turn off the audio sound too.. so it won't tell you the yards.Comes with the 2 AA batteries to get it up and running and does have a nice carrying case.Kickstand easily pulls out to get it setup on the ground and has a paper tape to give you the 5 feet distance it needs to be behind the ball.Has 4 buttons - two on each side: Power and Setup. And Up / Down for changing club/loft. Also the up/down can reset your swing count. The screen is readable whether indoors or out - which was nice. The audio side is really nice if you did have too much glare. The data you get out of it is: Carry (which is what most want). But also Average and Max over the hitting counts. But then some other details like: Club Speed, Ball Speed (you hear they talk about all the time on golf broadcasts), smash factor and count of swings along with club and loft angle (settable with the arrow keys).I've provided the manual so you can read more about each of these. The two things that I struggled with thus why I took off two stars is first the reset to hit the next shot, 1) was not documented if there was one - normally there should be. And 2) the bigger one was the actual distance being reported. You'll see in my first two images is what the device reported on a 7 iron hit. Reported at 192 yards. Btw, this was not with a full swing, it was indoors in my hitting bay where I have another swing analyzer that I do trust and has been proven to be very accurate, especially compared to how I hit in out on the course. This reading that I had was indicative of a 75% swing with the 7 iron I was using. Definitely did not hit it 192 yards. I did several different tests over time and was struggling to getting an accurate reading. And it was always on the "high" side too. If this was my only tool, then I might love what it was telling me cause it made me feel stronger, but again, there's no way I'm hitting a 3/4 7 iron 192.I'll continue to try this in other environments than my indoor hitting bay, like outdoors on a range and I'll bring my other unit which is battery operated too - for contrast. p.s. My hitting bay has a ton of room between the ball and the screen/net. (docs say it needs at least 8 feet, I have 10 feet.) If things change, I'll update my review. Thus why I did not put this as a 1. Since my testing was only done indoors in my hitting bay.
