This tape was a little thinner than I expected, but I think that is actually good. Depending on how much protection needed, you may need extra wraps, but being thin is useful for tight spaces, or if you just need to hold some wires together without need for physical protection. The tape is similar to regular electrical tape, but tears across easily, and has a very slight texture, but is still smooth. Not a grip tape, but not as slick as electrical tape. It does not tear lengthwise. Adhesion is decent, and works well for wrapping, but is not a strong tape for taping things down. It follows contours better than vinyl electrical tape, but there is no rating for electrical insulation, so these comparisons are for physical properties, not electrical. Use proper tape to code if insulation is needed!

I'm a car hobbyist, and for years I've been working on cars and making modifications. I often have wiring projects where I have to group together wires, and I usually just wrap them in black electrical tape. Well, black electrical tape is thick, and wires don't bend well when you wrap them with that. This fabric wire loom tape is just like what the factory puts on the wires. It's nice and thin, and has that perfect stickiness for it's usage. Plus, it seems like this stuff would keep the wires from squeaking under the dash. My truck has some squeaky wires (rubbing against other wires and plastic pieces), and I think I'm going to wrap some of this stuff on them. There are five rolls here, and each roll is 3/4 inch by 50 feet. This stuff is going to be a great addition to my toolbox.

Looks and works better for bundling wires than electrical tape. Sticks very well but is difficult to tear. I suggest using scissors to cut. Price is very reasonable and I could not find this product at my local auto parts store. My only complaint was how difficult it was to open the packaging and find the start of the roll of tape. Minor I know, but frustrating. Not enough though to take a star off of my rating.

I recently added two soft starts to my RV AC units and needed some quality wire tape. This tape is very strong and has excellent adhesion. After using six one to one lever wire connectors to install the two soft starts, I used this tape as an extra measure to wrap around the lever wire connectors to make sure they stay closed and to give an extra level of insulation.This is a high quality and strong wire fabric tape.
