I happened to get back an Indoor Hydroponic Growing System I gave an elderly couple. They really enjoyed it, but moved and it was just one more thing they didn't want to deal with as they were down sizing. Very excited that these grow sponges were even available. I so wondered how I was going to be able to use it. Now I can.These seed starter pods are made from a sponging material, and even though they recommend placing them in a basket, these actually do very well in my little system. I've had one sitting in it without any seeds for a week just to see if it would fit and not deteriorate. It does fit and didn't fall apart. Now I'm excited to get some cherry tomatoes started and a few other seeds started to plant out in my garden.

I’ve been happy with this starter kit. I have an IDOO hydroponic grower that uses the square sponges. Seems to be more difficult to find this style as the more popular design is the round design. I have no complaints with these as they are as good as the ones that came with my grower. The baskets fit well, the sponges are the right size and the stickers peel off the sheet easily and fit on the baskets well. I do recommend these as they are a perfect fit and are affordable.

When I was getting started with my hydroponic setup, I made the mistake of getting an installation that used the shorter, square pods -- not the longer cone-shaped "compatible with AeroGarden" pods. It's been hard to find this type of sponge vs. the basic white sponge. Very happy to have found this brand! Perfect fit for my setup, and the pods appear to be well crafted - no cracks or other damage that I saw. I can't really evaluate their claims of balanced pH or better growth rate, but so far so good!

I've had my hydroponic growing system for 3 years now and mostly use it to grow herbs in the winter in Seattle where I live. I need to replenish my starter pods once or twice a year and these are high quality and work great. Highly recommend for a good quality product.

I have a Lush Oasis proprietary design hydroponic growing system. The square net baskets are short and squatty. Standard cone shaped sponges are too narrow and too long. These squatty little sponges by GoorDik will only work with nonstandard square baskets like those used by IDOO-IG201, Lyko, QYO and Lush Oasis hydroponic systems. I'm so glad GoorDik has decided to offer square sponges. I had to order my last batch of replacement sponges from Canada and it took 2 weeks before they arrived.

The material is of decent quality, like most other starters I've purchased. The size is a bit different; larger than the ones I use for my countertop hydroponics, and smaller than the ones I use for my outdoor hydroponics (1 1/4 square cups). However, they actually fit in both, so that's a plus! Seeds started just fine, just be sure to soak them for a few minutes before use so they are nice and saturated.
