I am on my third one now and it still doesn't work. Ottocast customer service is a joke and not a good one. Support takes days if not a week or more to respond. Responses are usually asking to prove you bought the device then wait another week for them to ask you to upload a log and take a pic of it.The device has one job, to connect wired carplay wirelessly… it fails. I have a 2024 Ford Explorer. My car, SYNC 3, and radio are all compatible according to Ottocast’s website. Not one of my three units has connected to carplay. They won't tell me why, just keep having me pay to return a unit and they ship me another. I am out of my return period waiting on answers so now I have a $300 paperweight. Again on my third day of waiting for a response.The parts that do work, are glitchy at best. It crashes constantly. Many of the features are slow and clunky. Takes up to a minute to connect just to the homepage. No idea how much longer if carplay connected. You pretty much have to use a SIM card with the device. The widgets are useless, and can never be remembered. I have to tap on the weather widget every time I get in the car for it to connect. Many apps are low-resolution, unfortunately that means that it’s only other draw is sub par. Can't connect to carplay and Netflix is low res. Bottom line the thing is junk. I love the cute vine reviews, ignore them. The device and “24-hour customer service” are bull… period. Don't waste your money or your time. I've never had these problems with the $60 wireless carplay adapters, they work flawlessly.

Very good product. It connects almost automatically when I turn on the vehicle. The image quality of the YouTube videos is enviable.

I just think it performs poorly it is constantly haveing issues connecting or performing like when I get calls it won't answer on my car radio

I have to say, do not waste your money on this one. I bought two of these at the same time. Over $500 spent. One has been used probably 10 different times for an hour or less each time over a two month period. Now we are lucky if it will even power on (lights come on for a second). And if it even does it’s for just a second and it goes back off. The second one has been used twice. I’m saving the other 8 uses that it might hopefully have in it for a long trip. Ha. Find a better one because this brand seems to be junk and doesn’t last long. Very expensive $280 paper weight. Save yourself the trouble and try a different brand that might actually work when you need it.Yes, the car plugs work with any and everything else we plug into them. Yes the cords all work with anything else we have tried them on. Yes, we have tried other cords. Yes, we have tried every usb and usb-c plug in the car.

It does work but I have other plans for this which lean more towards playing with this on a portable monitor and seeing what I can do with it outside of a car. I'll let you know if I think of any great ways to implement this.

There is a few seconds delay, is better to use with hotspot as it only picks up 4g with sim. Won’t connect CarPlay automatically even though settings say that it should. Other than that YouTube, Netflix and other streaming apps work ok.
