A useful primer for Bob Dylan
As a latecomer to Dylan's music I found this book from Uncut magazine to be an excellent 'primer' to read whilst settling down to listen to the 'Original Mono Recordings' on LP, and it helped by introducing me to his later music and the Official Bootlegs series. The book provides excellent background, context and some critical analysis without being too heavy on interpretation, and even has some Dylan interviews from way back when. This, along with Dylan's own 'Chronicles Vol 1' is as good a place to start as any if you want to explore the world and music of Bob Dylan.

Useful reference of Dylan's life and music
A cross between a biography, discography and collection of reviews of Dylan's work. One of those books that you can dip into at any point and read a stand alone article. More of an extended magazine rather than a book, but a useful reference document for all that.

Dylan - good but wow it's expensive.
Had my previous copy nicked in hospital !! Decided to get a replacement as I love Bob Dylan's work. Happy with the purchase and speed of delivery but expensive.
