I bought this tow rope to tow my adult son to and up the hill in our local mountain biking area. It works brilliantly. There's a bit of stretch on the webbing tape so you don't get a hard jolt when you start. The tape fits over the seat of the person towing and over the handle bar stem on the bike being towed. I have an e-bike and this rope will allow us now to extend our days out and do more biking. Great value.

Look I very seldom write reviews for anything. Reason for reviewing is it worked much better than I expected. Wanted to try bike packing with my girls but youngest (8yo) is much less fit than the other so bought this as a back up if things went wrong. First time I ride it was on a very steep, rutted and bumpy uphill, straight out of the packaging. Hooked up the bikes and we were off. Having towed cars I was really expecting that jerk as it goes taut but as daughter was pedalling too I barely felt it. The climb had 4-6” step ups over laid down fence post to keep the path intact and I fully expected the stop start feeling as the bungy reached full stretch up it was really smooth, only once did I feel any pull back and I put that down to a rapid change of direction on my part. On an on road climb later it was smooth as butter for the whole climb. As I say, I hardly ever write reviews but felt I should for this.

Half the price of the brand name product and just as good. Small to store (in a cycling jacket), and easy to use. The initial stretch is excellent for not giving your child whiplash.

Used it to tow with my ebike, hauling my adult friend on their non-ebike up hills with ease impressed with its strength and quality it's not often I review but this thing was worth every penny!

Was able to tow my mum up a long hill and pass some roadies in the process.

This TeTupGa tow rope belt strap is brilliant for helping your child up the steepest of hills. Before turning any tight corners, please make sure that you stop before the turn as your child will fall off and may hurt themselves all depending on their cycling skills. This is a lesson I learnt when towing my nephew. He was fine after his mishap on a tight corner - my fault for not thinking! I highly recommend this product as it really does put a big smile on the child's face when they are whizzing up those steep hills riding right behind you. It is ideal for use with electric bikes when you tow your child on their bikes. I cannot fault this item and I really do recommend it for children who are too old to use those commonly seen metal tow bars that is entirely controlled by the leading adult who steers the child's bike as their bike front wheel is a few inches off the ground. With this product, they can steer at the same time as being towed.

Product is fine but towing a child on an elastic chord is hit and miss. Ended up not using it as my child fell off a few times as they veered off to the side or the elastic pulled them at such a rate they weren’t expecting. Having used a solid bar before this is no where near as safe or easy for the towed child but it is much cheaper and more convenient. Might work better with a slightly older more experienced child.
