Great day pack, unless you're a bladder user
Likes:-the zippered pocket on the shoulder strap actually fits my giant phone with a case!- two 500 ml bottles can fit on the shoulder pouches, one on each- fits really well with the running vest style-side pocket can easily fit 1.5L bottles, one each, they're long and deep.- inside pocket in main compartment- back mesh pocket is huge, totally runs the length of the bag; covers so nothing falls off or falls in-has two ice are holders, you can probably store hiking poles there instead.- stow and hold pole holders, in case you're using hiking poles and have to quickly ditch them so you can climb a tree or a rock.Cons:-has bladder holder, but probably only good for 1.5L or less. Since I hate bladders, doesn't affect me. I can probably stick something else there quickly.- there's two hip pockets, but only one is zipped. The other one is open and shallow. I can't think of anything that I'd put there. Whatever you put there, should be tethered down, because you'll probably lose it.- the main pocket cinch strap, should be a little longer, to be able to fold down at least once. Otherwise you have a small opening, facing upward. It does have the large mesh covering it, but rain might go right in it.-a little heavy for just a 20 L- shoulder straps don't have a lot of cushion, so I wouldn't put too much weight on it, but remember to use hip belt. Most of the weight should rest there.-missing the helmet holder that the original talon has. I destroyed my climbing helmet just hanging, with a different pack that also didn't have a holder.-durability... I love the side mesh pockets and the back, but I don't think they will last long. We'll see.- need instructions on some features, not everyone will know how some of the features works. YouTube and Google doesn't always cover everything.Overall:I own about 25 packs now... 6L to 100L.Great design it's probably going to be my go to day pack.I went on a fast hike with it the day I got it, barely felt any weight. Everything is cinched down, so when I jogged, nothing was bouncing around.

Love this pack
Very good quality and ergonomic pockets on the straps. Comfortable too, even with pretty significant loads. Definitely worth the price.

Versatile day pack
Really versatile travel pack and day pack. Went to Banff and used this to stuff extra clothing and supplies during flights and day hikes. It worked great for plane travel...easily fit overhead or fit under the seat and carried 2 liters of water, a waterproof hiking jacket, a fleece and snacks during day hikes. I like the fit adjustments which made this a very comfortable day pack. The double connect on the front was great...I really like it and it makes the pack more comfortable. All kinds of adjustments for the belt, shoulders, and chest make this a good fit. There's a zip pocket on the belt and left chest flap. Also a zip pocket inside but that's it. I've travelled with lots of bags before and like the simplicity of the design. Too many pockets means you're always rooting around trying to find things. You put important things in the zips and the rest stuffs into the body. Simple and effective. The only con was that the adjustment straps seem to flail around and the top load area sometimes wasn't the easiest to maneuver. You have to pull a tab to open the top load portal and then pull a cord to tighten it. The top cinch cover doesn't tighten much but worked very well when it got hot and I shed my jacket. Winds were shifting and I needed it close so I just draped it over the top and cinched it down...which made it an easy access. It also acts as a holder for bike helmets. Side compression sleeves and a back stuff sack make for nice storage for misc water bottles, med gear...whatever. Just a lot of nice features for a 20 liter pack. Opt for the 30 liter and you've got a nice over-nighter or 2 night pack. I've got lots of bags so my needs were for a small day/travel pack. I got several comments about how people liked the bag and features so...it's a winner.

Not a pack, the pack
As a Dad. I need to be ready to carry more on day hikes and this makes that easy and so comfortable. I really like the brand and our family all have back packs and day hikers of this manufacturer. If you are thinking maybe, just buy this.
