I just started drinking tea regularly. It is perfect for making a cup of tea. It is large enough you need 2 8oz tea bags or 3 6oz rounds. I also use it for my morning coffee.

One of our guests this week is a devout tea drinker, so I got this mug, with the custom strainer and lid, for him to use. He loved it, and is taking it home.I got the navy blue, and with the dark color, the pattern on the mug is really subtle (although it kind of looks like it, there's no seam down the side; that's the lighting in our kitchen). The strainer fits the rim perfectly, and deep enough to steep leaves thoroughly, while the lid fits well on top either with or without the strainer (just in case you have curious pets). And the mug itself is deep - at 19 oz., deep enough for the sharpie pen to barely peek out.The mug being dishwasher safe meant all we had to do was wash the strainer by hand, run the mug and lid through a cycle, and he could use it right away. None of us like to have a queue of hand washing items anymore, so that made him happy too - as did the comfortable handle and the size. It's shipped in a custom cardboard box so it arrived, and will travel back home with him, safely. A win all around.

The cup is quite large and nice looking. If you like tea and want to stay away from tea bags this is a great choice, you add some tea to infuser, place it in cup and pour hot water over it. When it's done steeping you remove the infuser. It even comes with a lid to keep your tea hotter for longer.
