This barbell pad is nice, closed cell foam that has a very firm stable feel on your back even with heavy weights. It is easy enough to get on and off but still secure on the bar with no fear of it falling off when you need it most. It has a smooth non-absorbent outer material which means it won't absorb sweat and become eternally stinky, and it is super easy to clean with a damp rag. We will be using this regularly and update if anything changes over time.

I've worked out my entire life but always with bands and dumbbells. I recently picked up a 1" barbell at a thrift store to try and incorporate heavier squats into my routine. But yikes, it hurt my shoulders! So I use a towel as padding. Then I saw this product and I thought "well of course they make something to protect a person's shoulders!". This pad changes everything. Because it's split down the middle there's no need to take off plates... just gently pull it apart and ease it onto the bar. It's a dense foam piece that's about 15" long. Circumference on the ends is about 9.5" and in the middle where it's narrower is 7.75". No need to constantly adjust the position of the bar now because of the discomfort... squat away!

I got this for my standard-size squat bar. I had previously been using a section of foam pool noodle as a neck pad on the bar. This product is nice because it is contoured specifically to allow the neck and shoulders to engage the bar better for squats. The installation was very easy. There is a slit running lengthwise on the pad and all you have to do is spread the pad open a bit on one end and press it onto the bar, then use your fingers to spread and press the pad into place along the bar. The pad itself seems very durable and the material is denser than the pool noodle I was using. The only think I don't like is that the raised lettering on the neck pad area makes it a little uncomfortable compared to the pool noodle, but I'm sure Arnold would say "Don't be a girly-man."

Got this for my boy to do squats with. Very easy to install. Pops right on the bar. Nice tight fit the pad does not marvel around on the bar and it’s pretty comfortable on your neck while squaring. A lot better than the bar itself.

My Velcro on pad would ALWAYS slip into the slit and then it would hurt like I didn't have a pad. This one works perfectly!

I've tried several squat rack pads including a manta ray pad. The other pads that I've tried slide around on the bar and spin on the bar. This pad is not quite as soft as the aforementioned pads, but it stays in place. It is a stiffer pad, but it's much softer than the bar on the traps. I'm so glad I took a chance on this pad. It just is so perfect! Stays in place, doesn't spend and doesn't slide left to right. I definitely recommend this one if you're looking for one.
