Vivid Colors
This is decently good watercolor paints. They rewet and handle like professional artist grade paints and have a pleasing laydown and look to them. I am not sure what the lightfast qualities would be for this, but it has its place with beginners or intermediates that will handle well and not frustrate them while practicing.

Great set of paints!
These paint were such a great surprise! The color variety is exceptional and the qualityIs great.. beautiful array of richly pigmented colors, no chalky, powdery affect.. and they move smoothly on the paper. The results were really nice. Fantastic value for the money here. I randomly swatched Yellow-Green, Medium- Yellow, Violet and Turquoise Blue ..Hope it helps.

Good For Students And Beginners
This is a review of the HIMI Watercolor Paint Tube Set - 36 Colors 12ml, with Rich Pigments, Non-Toxic, suitable for Beginners, Artists, and Hobby Painters. Beautiful Gifts for Art Supplies Painting:I am an acrylic artist 99% of the time, but am exploring watercolors. I have a few different manufacturers I am experimenting with until I get the feel of working this medium down better. This seems to be a decent beginner set, useful for learning technique. I'd also recommend it for students who are leaning. I cannot speak to longevity, but initially inwouod say that tyeboigment quality is pretty good. Paint is also smooth and easy to work with.Overall I would recommend this as a good starter set for students or anyone learning to paint with watercolor.

Colores brillantes

Many tubes are the same color
I like the quality of these paints but I recently opened them all up and realize now that the sky blue isn’t sky blue at all… and it is the same blue as the Prussian blue and the phthalo blue. So three of the blue colors are the same. Also, the turquoise blue and the turquoise green are the same color. Very disappointing.

Great quality student set
This is a great set for a student or someone new to the hobby. It's very comprehensive and offers lots of warm and cool shades across the color wheel, plus some great utility colors. The packaging is pretty decent, but the outer box could have been a bit sturdier to house the two trays when not in use.I did a swatch test with all 36 colors and found them vibrant and easy to work with. Some are granulation and some aren't, which is to be expected depending on the pigment used.On that note, we come to my main gripe: Himi did not disclose what pigments were used in each paint. Pigment denotations are pretty standard, even on low quality paint, so this was frustrating. I wasn't able to be sure I was comparing the colors to the same pigment when doing some side by side comparisons with more expensive paints.I picked 5 colors that the name was fairly standard on to test side by side. I tested the following (see pictures) and here are my findings:1) Phtalo Blue by Daniel Steele vs Phtalo Blue by HimiThe Daniel Steel paint had more depth and dried much quicker (lower quality paints often use more filler and binder which can slow dry time)2) Burnt Umber by Windsor and Newton Cotman vs Burnt Umber by HimiThe Himi paint had a distinctly strong red tone to it vs the W&N which is a cooler shade. Both had similar dry times and saturation.3) Quinalone Rose by Daniel Steel vs Rose by HimiThe himi paint was more pigmented and dried slower, which leads me to believe these weren't using the same pigment. The DS paint is more translucent and a softer color.4) Diazinone Purple by W&N cotman vs Purple by HimiVery similar but the W&N was more pigmented and dried quicker.5) Turquois by W&N cotman vs Turquois Blue by HimiI found that the turquoise Blue and turquois green by himi were nearly indistinguishable from each other. Ironically, the turquoise from W&N was MUCH bluer than the Himi. I do like the shade of the Himi one better though. It's a great color.Overall, my take aways are that the himi set is using a bit more fillers and binders, which means slightly less saturation and sometimes uneven results. That being said, this is absolutely a great set for any student. I particularly love that they included a "nude" as that is a really hard shade to mix from scratch as a beginner. I also love that there is one iridescent color (ice blue) which has an absolutely lovely warm tone iridescent paired with the cool blue/gray shade. It reminds me of sunlight glinting off a frozen lake. These are probably the best from this price tier that I have tried to date. Well done himi!

Great set of tube watercolors for a beginning watercolorist!
I've recently started dabbling with watercolors and have been watching and learning from many YouTube tutorials. I had been sticking to pan paints but one of the You Tube watercolor instructors I follow recommended trying tube watercolor paints too. Needless to say, as an almost newbie to watercolor painting, I didn't want to spend a lot of money to buy professional quality tubes of watercolor paint. I also wanted to order a set of paints that had a fairly large assortment of colors in it as I haven't yet learned how to mix paints to get the exact shades of colors that I want. This set of 36 colors was just what I was looking for! There is a nice assortment of colors, although perhaps it was a little heavy on the yellows and a little light on the blues and greens. The colors seem quite vivid and vibrant, more so than the pan paints I have tried out. I appreciate that each color has a transparency rating and a staining rating marked on the tube. At my skill level, I am not at all concerned with lightfast ratings but I'm sure that others will appreciate them.I am still in the early stages of experimenting with how much water to add to the paints to produce the level of transparency I want, but of course, that's a big part of the fun and the adventure of watercolor painting!I think this set of watercolor tube paints is an excellent value for the money, and I am happy to add them to my art supply stash. :)
