Perfect for fans of ACOTAR and Frozen
I’m giving A Betrayal of Storms 10/5⭐️Spiciness 10/10🥵 🌶OH MY GOD!! This f****** BOOK!!HOLY HELL!!This book was absolutely amazing! The best sequel I’ve read in a long long time. This has to be Ben’s best work to date, after reading all his previous books last year. You can tell how much love and devotion has gone into this book.We continue the on the journey of Robin Icethorn as he learns more about his parentage and his court. With the help of old friends and new friends.Dangers lay ahead, friendships formed and broken. Lovers to enemies, enemies to lovers. The smutt scenes.🥵 🌶 What more does a reader want?THE PLOT TWISTS! MY GOD THE PLOT TWISTS!! Ben Alderson did not fail to deliver these scenes! They had me hooked! It wouldn’t surprise me if this series got turned into a tv show or film series as there’s so much action and drama that I adore! Every page turn had me sitting on the edge of my seat.My emotions were all over the place during this read, I honestly can’t wait to reread it.I NEED BOOK THREE RIGHT NOW!!

Wow. Just wow.
Wow. Just wow. This book was an incredible journey and I never expected this development of events. So much betrayal in the first few chapters and so many plot twists. I internally screamed at multiple points, rooted for characters and cried. I couldn't put this thing down.Robins character development was incredible, though he made some extremely bad decisions which often made everything worse, I fell in love with him. He was terrifyingly fierce in this book compared to book 1 and even more so with a certain somebody. My only negative was that the beginning was a little slow but otherwise I can't complain!

❄️ Phenomenal! ❄️
World building at its finest! This is the second book in a trilogy that I’ve read and I pre ordered the third - I need it now! The author has created a fantasy world which captivated me. I’m invested in the characters and the emotions stirred had me racing through the pages. There is love, action, mystery, murder, revenge and so much more to keep the reader’s attention. I only happened across this author recently and now I must read ALL THE BOOKS! If you love magic, MM romance, pulse pounding action and adventure, this book will have you hooked! Highly recommended!

A Work of Art
This sequel is everything. It has compelling drama, heated action, an unexpected turn of events, twists and turns you never would imagine, and so much more! Ben Alderson's work doesnt falter in A Kingdom of Lies, and I trust so many more will agree.

Ugh - slayed again! Loved book 2 so much!
I was left with such a hangover after book one so I was happy to devour book 2. Unfortunately I’m in desperate need of book 3!This book is such a step up, in the best ways, from book one. We have heartache, gore, brutality, and spice all weaved together. And the cherry on top is that this is the perfect enemies to lovers book! If that’s your trope, then you’ll devour this.I don’t want to spoil anything so I will just say I’m shocked with how much I loved a certain character that starts with a D and how much I rooted for him. Even though I loved a certain character in book one, I’m completely converted to Team D 😏Anyway, if you loved book one, you will most definitely love book 2 and appreciate all the twists and turns!

What a ride!
That was one heck of a ride, I'm gonna say that. Up, down, backwards, it got my head spinning and my heart making loopings! The world building just gets better and better and the amount of plottwists is exactly right where it belongs (in my opinion at least), so go read the forst one and then come back for this one!

Deep breaths!
What a sequel!! This follow up to A Betrayal of Storms does not disappoint... well one chapter was not nice but you can discover that heartbreak all on your own! This novel dives deeper into the lore and lies of this world Ben has created and it has you second guessing everyone's intentions. Super juicy and that good amount of spice that was set in the first book. Having devoured this second novel, I cannot wait for book 3 in the Realm of Fey series from Ben!!

Okay, so okay, well dang haha
I will preface this by saying that I am enjoying this series, and I am about to go devour the next book if possible. Now, rant time, probably some spoilersA few things irked me in this book. One glaring inconsistency wasErix's eye color. In book 1 it was mentioned many times that his eyes were silver, but then in this book, in the beginning they were mentioned as lightening blue, and just a short while after that as 'gold as the autumn leaves'. Irritating nglAlso, there were repeated spelling/grammar/tense errors, though they didn't detract so much in this book as others have for me.60% of the way through, I thought 'sorry erix, but duncan is damon and you are stefan, and I've always been a Damon girl...'Instant regret because, okay, I wanted him with Duncan, BUT NOT LIKE THIS BRO WTF.(Spoilers!!)AND WTF WHY WOULDN'T YOU KILL HIM, THAT'S LIKE THE BIGGEST D MOVE EVER AND MAKES ME DISLIKE MC BRO. This man was your guard, your friend, and your lover, and you REALLY going to let him suffer a fate worse than death?!?!?! After he sacrificed himself for you?!?!?!?!?! That's so messed up.Overall, I lost most all of my love for the MC in this book. Man's was basically weak and useless, even with his newfound king powers! Like even your man was able to break out of his mind control crap while you, an actual fey king, sat there paralyzed. Aldrich EVEN straight up said it was because he had no mental walls OR willpower to break free, so grow a freaking spine man. Sheesh. Personally, I really feel like the royals should have some sort of built-in resistance to iron, seeing as they, as Tarron put it, are magic themselves, rather than just having magic in their blood, and it's kind of disappointing that an iron bracelet is an instant KO for them
