This is a book that would call almost an academic resource when it comes to Christmas traditions and others that are mentioned in the book. I have used it on many occasion to explain the different traditions my children have grown up with as opposed to just their British origins. Even the British ones are imported from Germany and America. It is a beautiful book, perhaps more for the history inclined reader.
