I really like this hat. I think the white dots make it look very pretty and stylish. I wore it for the first time today, as the sun is quite strong at the moment and I was concerned about getting the sun on my face. I was worried I would feel silly, as not many people round here wear sun hats! But I actually felt really confident in it, as it is so nice. It is also lightweight and made of a soft material, which makes it comfortable.I think it did a pretty good job at shielding my face from the sun, and I was glad I had worn it. The rim is big enough to shield your face, but not so big that it gets in the way or looks too overbearing. The only downside is that because the hat is made of a soft, floppy material, I found that the wind kept blowing the rim up and down, so sometimes it was practically in my face and I couldn't see. But apart from that, I am very happy with it and am glad I purchased it. I hope this review helps someone.

I bought this in the grey with white dots colourway and it's lovely - I have pigmentation problems on my face (melasma) so as soon as the sun comes out in late spring I wear a hat outside in the garden. I've owned a lot of big brimmed hats over the years and this is the lightest weight I've tried, so my hair gets less sweaty than with previous styles which is great - i'd say I have an average sized head and without adjusting the drawstring at all I can fit it on whilst my hair is in a ponytail without ending up with a headache as I've experienced with other sunhats which is a total boon. It folds down very neatly so is ideal for in a bag/car glove compartment for unexpectedly sunny periods as well as taking up very little space in a suitcase. As others have mentioned although there is a wire in the edge of the brim to stop it flopping down onto your face and for basic shaping purposes, it's very thin and with any wind it still flaps about but this is the downside of a big brim in a packable style, I suppose. I'm interested to see how the wire holds up over time as I've only had mine for a month and I've seen a few reviews which mention the wire failing after a while. I need a second new hat this summer and based on this one I've decider to get another Wallaroo (the casual traveler) which is also packable, has the same upf 50 rating but does not have a wire, just in case it does break as my scrunchie will get folded a lot to go in my handbag.

one of the best hats i could find for travel as it wraps up into nothing wont damage it, and its washable unlike paper hats. However if its windy can be a pain in the backside as it flops around everywhere in your eyes. I dont mind putting up with that though. Oh and it covers all my face my shoulders down to bottom of my neck which is great for cutting down on expensive/toxic suncream.

This sunhat is adjustable so you can actually fit your head size by using the drawstrings inside the crown part. Verylight to wear and keeps the sun off your face. Highly recommended.

Hat as expected , you have to pull strings in to fit but keeps sun off which is the main thing. Material and make good.

Folds up totally flat to put into your case or beach bag......unfolds and looks miraculously great. Kept my head noticeably cooler and my eyes perfectly shaded for reading. It is a bit more expensive than some of the hats on amazon but it is worth every penny and will last many years.

It is rollable, but it is hard to get a good brim shape once unrolled. Also, it is so plain--would love a colourful band or ribbon round it. I have added a chin strap to prevent it blowing away, using a shoelace and an adjuster clip from a jacket. It's a good size and should keep me from sun burn. Haven't used it yet; hope it will prove to be worth its hefty price!

Love this hat. Was unsure how it would look when I ordered it but was desperate for something to protect my head when I went to Australia. It looks stylish you can fold the brim back if you like. It folds up to fit in your suitcase and then looks fine and goes back to shape when you need it . Washable will definitely wear in this country and has high uv protection,a bit pricy but worth it.
