Arrived promptly which was important as it was a last minute Xmas gift. Seemed full of information and pictures and the person I gave it to was very happy with it.

Was a gift, they liked it, very informative about knives

Not a full coverage of all the available bladesmiths around right now - there is no mention of the Benchmade Bushcrafter (a modern cuttling classic), or anything from the Randall-Made workshops... Then again, it's not exactly hot off the press and there are an awful lot of bladesmiths in the land across the pond... For all that, it's still a good reference work.

This book gives information on every knife company. It contains insightful articles on various styles of knives, metallurgy, sharpening and lots more... It is a must for anyone with an interest in knives.

Great to see that what you advertise is what you get - doesn't happen like that too often.

Great book.....Lots of useful information!

As a beginner in knife collecting, I found this guide to be amazingly useful. The text gets a little drab at times but it more than makes up for that with a comprehensive catalogue and exceptionally well taken photographs.

good info but mostly basic

For all-around, general, information for someone who did not have a previous knowledge of knives, this is a fine book to start with. I had hoped it had more detailed information on survival knives, but it barely touched on that particular subject. And it has way too much space devoted to manufacturer's names and addresses. But, again, I'm sure some people would enjoy it.

Worthless.
