There are so many books, videos, tutorials, etc., on exercise and nutrition. There’s a decent amount of information that isn’t correct, and most people looking to get into this journey or who have been on the journey, but not successful, find themselves drowning in a sea of mediocre materials. This is not that! This is a clear, concise book of all of the pertinent information on fitness and nutrition, written by an experienced personal trainer that uses exercise science, and physiology and common sense, and puts it in a way that you could understand, and does not bog you down with a lot of information that might be useful to a scientist or diagnostician, but for those of us that just want to get in shape, it would be too much information. But don’t get me wrong, this book is chock full of Great information. Being a former personal trainer myself, I know that even somebody just starting out can just read this book follow the guidelines, and they can get into the condition that they’ve always wanted to. The main thing is consistency and perseverance. You have to keep going, until you achieve it, no excuses. As Winston Churchill said, “When you are going through hell, keep going!” This book is a triumph! If you’ve gotten this far and are reading this, pick up the book and just start working out and eating, right . Success will be yours.

A treasure trove of information! A must have in any fitness enthusiasts library.
This book should of been called the workout companion for life. Everything one needs to know for working out is all in this one book. The science and details are in here. All the content is explained in a way that is instantly understandable and applicable. The examples given are priceless. This is definitely a gym myth busters book. With the explosion of social media influencers there is an abundance of bad information out there.My fitness trainer never taught me these concepts, but this book has. This book opens your eyes to that, along with all the fads and trends that are a waste of time and money. This book was a great investment. Now, I feel extremely knowledgeable and confidence in what I am doing at the gym with my workouts. This book gives you a strong foundation in the exercise sciences like no other book I have read.The chapter with actual workout routines, made this book worth a lot more than what it costs. A must have in any fitness enthusiasts library.

Amazing book!! A must have for anyone trying to get in shape
Book has helped me so much on my fitness journey. This book cuts straight to the chase and provides you with a ton of useful information that dispels all the myths and confusion that is out there. I have learned so much from every single chapter. I had to make notes and highlights so I can go back and digest all the nuggets of wisdom shared in every chapter.The way Keith writes makes everything easy to understand and use. This has changed my entire outlook and understanding of fitness, in the best way possible. This book has also inspired me and motivated me to keep pushing on, even when I slip up. All the exercise science is backed up by great examples. The chapter on workout programs was worth the price of the book in itself. Priceless.Now when I go to the gym I am super confident in what I am doing and why I am doing it. This book doesn’t show you how to do any exercises. This book goes beyond that. There are a million ways to learn how to do exercises out there, but few ways to learn the science behind what to do with all those exercises. This book covers everything needed in order to have a successful plan.Now I go to the gym with knowledge and a plan that has been leading to great success, along with ways to keep track. This book aids me in working towards and achieving my goals. No book has empowered me like this book has.This book is a must for anyone wanting to make an everlasting impact on their health and fitness, for life.
