Two out of three ain’t bad...
Ok. So, one book three stories. The first one titled “Poor Relations”, by Elizabeth Johns. It’s clean and the story could have been a good one. Ms. Johns has become very hit or miss for me and this was a definite miss. The characters were very wooden. Dialogue was stilted and often characters would say things that were awkward and unnecessary. When the hero kissed the heroine for the first time I felt uncomfortable because there had been no warmth or chemistry between these two. At all. I felt the same at the end of the book when they were supposed to be in love...Second book titled “Edward and Emily”, by Heather B. Moore. So, so good! The hero has lost his older brother whom he adored and the heroine has lost her beloved Father. They grew up together but were never that close, so when they see each other again after years apart at a dinner party there is instant attraction. As they get to know each other they are able to offer mutual comfort as well as encourage each other’s passions. But the path to true love is a slow and meandering one that you will enjoy!Third and last book titled, “A Sporting Season” by Rebecca Connolly (one of my fave authors) is also very, very good! Daphne is in pain, recovering from heartbreak and public humiliation and she’s had only two years to recover. Seeing as the Incident happened when she was a mere 16 years old, she really needed more time to recover. But she is shipped off for a London season by her Mother. She is determined to repel any man who might take an interest in her, but when she meets Jaime she has met her match. It just so happens that he is very bored by the normal young miss that a gentleman tends to meet in society, so Daphne is his type of woman. As usual, Ms. Connolly manages humor, good character development, an interesting story and emotional healing all tied up into a lovely romantic package! I highly recommend!

Not bad, not great
I've been reading and collecting Regencies since the mid 1960's when I discovered the incomparable Georgette Heyer. Over the decades I've weeded out most of these novels, preferring to keep only the very best ones - books I periodically re-read with as much pleasure as the first time. This anthology isn't one of them. It's better than some, but the bar is low these days. It was an okay read to pass the time, but not worth a permanent spot in my library.

Not as good as others
I was a bit disappointed with this collection. The first one was the better one followed by the second novella. R. Connoly's novella was a bit too much for me. Quite boring and it took forever to explain the so called "incident" to the extent that I almost quit reading. Over the top and the main female character had no redeeming qualities in my opinion.

One of my favorites
I've read many of the Timeless Romance Anthologies. I like them because a short story or novella is something I have more time for in my life. This one is one if my favorites. And if the three stories, the one about Daphne and Jamie is my favorite. I thought they were both excellent characters. There's not a lot of character arc for Jamie, but that's okay because Daphne's arc is, and should be, the main focus of the story. This one is definitely worth the read!

Beautifully Regency
I loved this newest addition to the Timeless Regency Collection. I hadn't read anything by Elizabeth Johns before. But I quite enjoyed her story. I am glad that they invited her to this anthology. And as always Heather Moore and Rebecca Connolly both did wonderfully! I think Rebecca's Story was my favorite! I totally identified with Daphne. Well done ladies! I am definitely looking forward to more of their books.

Pretty good
These stories were not as well written as most of the others in these anthologies are. I read all three stories, but I wasn't madly in love with any of them. They were, as always, a pleasant afternoon read, so no regrets here for reading them.

I enjoyed all of the stories
What a lovely set. I enjoyed all of the stories, they were light and clean reads. The stories caught my imagination and I was drawn into the plot. Rebecca Connolly's story had a good humorous element to it, Elizabeth Johns' story referred back to characters from other books which made the world of the story feel more real, and Heather B Moore's story was a sweet read.Well worth the purchase and time spent reading.
