Universal UNV43735 72 in. x 48 in. Lacquered Steel Magnetic Dry Erase Marker Board - White Surface, Aluminum/Plastic Frame

So I was very wary about the quality of this board but it was the only 4x6 with magnetic surface capabilities. The one star review really caught my eye and put my guard up since it was so recently posted before I decided to purchase. But I placed my order this Sunday and got a Customer Service email the same day from a real person asking for a contact phone number. I replied with the needed information and even added a side note to mark the package as Fragile and pack it extra carefully. The email notice for shipping came yesterday on Monday, giving me a disappointing delivery estimate of March 29th, way beyond the standard shipping option of 4-14 days. But today Tuesday, I have a giant whiteboard in my living room. The item was packaged with styrofoam strips on all edges and 5 wedges on the whiteboard's flat surfaces to prevent damage to the item. It's heavier than I thought so I didn't want to risk my wall by mounting it up so I can't say how the mounting and bar for markers and erasers are stable or not. The Expo purple marker I used came off cleanly without any residual marks using just plain water. I didn't get a chance to get an eraser yet since I thought it would come March 10th earliest but it's all working out fantastically for the price I paid for this item.

ITS THE GETING IT SHIPPED TO YA IS THE MAIN REOCCURRING PROBLEM, ORDERED ONE 2 WEEKS BEFORE CHRISTMAS,1ST ONE BEAT UP AND BEAT ....DISSAPOINTED GRANDDAUGHTER DIDNT GET SECOND ONE WHEN REORDERED......WHY YOU ASK?.... BENT AND BEAT UP SENT THE SECOND ONE BACK......... TRIED ONE MORE TIME , THEY WENT UP ON THE PRICE APPROX 25$ DURING THE PROCESS AND FINALLY RECEIVED THE 3RD ONE WITHOUT DENTS AND BENTS.GREAT SIZE 9 YR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER LOVES IT. GREAT SIZE PLENTY OF CREATIVE SPACE TO JUST DRAW PLAY TEACHER AND STUDENT AS WELL AS ARTWORK.FINALLY YES ITS WAS WORTH THE STRUGGLES, SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO GO THROUGH!!!!!!!PRODUCT 5 STARS +DELIVERY: PERHAPS PACKAGED BETTER NOW....FINALLY ITS WORTH THE HASSLE , THIS IS WHY AMAZON'S PRIME IS WORTH ALL THE HASSLES TO HAVE BACK UP SUPPORT WITH.AMAZON YOU ROCK!!!!!

This white board was delivered from a shipping company last night. It was well-packaged and undamaged, but it is big enough that it will be difficult to move while still packaged in the shipping box. Once removed from the box, it can be moved easily by one moderately strong and agile person.So far I am quite happy with this board. It looks good, arrived on time and undamaged, and was much less expensive than I would have had to pay locally at an office store. I took out a marker and wrote on the board. It is very smooth and easy to write on. I haven't erased what I wrote yet, but I don't expect any issues.

I was a bit concerned about getting a botched one after reading the reviews... But took a risk and ordered and prayed it would get here fine. I ordered on a Friday and it was ready to deliver on Monday! It's true that the packaging is flimsy for such an expensive board , but thankfully my board arrived undamaged. It comes with anchors and 4 screws as well as brackets to help hold it to the wall ... We did need to use some extra screws, but no biggie . It's up! It's beautiful ! My Expo Low Odor markers I bought work fabulously on it. I also bought wipes from Expo for cleaning every now and then . Expo eraser works well , too.They do want you to "treat " the board with whiteboard cleaner before using it and then wipe off with a wet rag and then dry . I used the Expo wipe as my cleaner as I had nothing else. I suggest ordering cleaner before you get your board.:) I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars, because I just don't understand why a thin dry erase board has to cost so much (though they all do) and because of the packaging . Otherwise I'm VERY happy !!!

As others noted, our board had a significant crease in the middle of the board as if it had been bent. Perhaps 4x6 is too large for shipping something like this the way they do. Didn't even bother to hang it so it's useless to us. Hope that the return instructions I'm supposed to get from the supplier include a refund of the significant shipping costs. This will be my first return of an Amazon purchase that wasn't fulfilled by Amazon.

Last year I ordered one of these and it arrived in perfect condition. So much for the negative reviews, I thought.Ordered two more a few weeks ago. One arrived in perfect condition. The other arrived with a deep dent all the way down one side of the board. The weird thing is that the packaging was not damaged at all, like another reviewer has already said. If I had to guess I would say it left the place of shipment damaged as it was.Told Amazon I'll be returning the one and found out I'd have to pay shipping out of pocket but would be reimbursed when they got it. Estimated shipping was something like $37. Okay, no problem. Let's go return it.Oh no, it won't fit in the back of a 2011 Kia Sorento. Good thing I have a trailer. Load it in the trailer, take it to US Postal Service, unload it. Too big to ship. Load it again, take it to UPS Store, unload it. Too big to ship. Load it a third time, take it to designated UPS Freight location, unload it. Sure they can ship it. For $168. Paid it because I have no other choice.Be warned that this thing is a giant pain to ship back if it arrives damaged. Make sure you have a freight shipping location nearby and $150+ on you.

Beautiful board, very high quality. Advertised as 72" x 48", but not quite there. About 71" x 47.25", including the 7/8"-thick trim around edges. Still, a very large working surface. Easy to hang with included hardware. I cleaned it upon arrival as recommended in instructions and have been using it steadily for a week. Erases easily and cleanly. My only complaint is with UPS Freight, who delivered it with two dings in the surface (corresponding dents/punches in box), but they are noticeable only from certain angles.
