This plug will not stay in a 1 inch hole.The description listed the plug’s outer diameter to be 1.3 inches; the mount diameter as 1.02 inches. Yet actual plugs do not fit a true 1 inch hole. It’s a grommet. It works. The blade include is a nice touch and didn’t have to go downstairs to cut the thing out. It works great.
