Loved It, Absolutely Fascinating, Informative & Entertaining !
Really loved this DVD! I am a woman & I don't watch football but I love documentaries & learning the history of many different types of things. I ordered this DVD as a gift for my boyfriend because I know this is one of his favorite teams. I wanted to see what was on the DVD before I gave it to him so I would know whether or not I was giving him a fantastic gift; so I watched it before I gave it to him. Wow! I was so fascinated & entertained! I absolutely love hearing the history of the game & definitely the commentary from the players & coaches regarding their experiences during the games; and also their personal experiences on & off the field. I watch 30 for 30 which I find very fascinating; interesting; informative & entertaining and so was this DVD! I almost kept his gift for myself but I decided I would just buy my own DVD & definitely buy a DVD for my own hometown team for football & basketball because I knew I would love it!

Steelers' Collection
I have been a long-term Steeler fan getting involved in fanatacism at a distance (Australia) sometime in the late seventies.I gave this a four-star rating rather than five-stars because I have never been to a game and have limited exposure to the NFL. What I like about this series is not just the plays (and outcomes) but also the stories told by the players throughout each disc. It provided, for those of us who did not have access back then to the day-to-day reporting/commentary of the teams, a history we otherwise would not have experienced and enjoyed.Americans, and Steeler fans familiar with the teams might want to see more field play than oral history.Nonetheless, my thirteen-year old son and I have watched the discs together without any loss of interest time and again. The quality of the recording and content is quite good. No sound or visual defects.I would recommend this series to Steelers fans and also to fans interested in the evolution of team rivalry and the path to the Superbowl.

A Definitive and Comprehensive Collection of the Five Time Champions
Being a steelers fan since kindergarten in 1976, I am dating myself, this is a truly enjoyable look into the team that I have loved and followed for the past thirty years. I give it a five star rating for the way it was produced and pakaged. I like the use of former players from the glory days offering incite, in particular Mike wagner and Mel Blount, who were my favorite players when I was growing up. It's also great to see recently retired coach Bill Cowher show a softer side when he comments on his family suffering through all of the disappiontments of those five losses in the Championship games. The loss in Super Bowl XXX was particularly difficult to swallow. If there is one disappointment with the disc, it's the absence of any perspectives from Bradshaw for the first four disc and Hines Ward, not having a spot on the interviews for Superbowl XL, true Joey Porter had a spectacular playoff performance, but it was Wrad who was the mvp and has become the face of the franchise following Bettis' retirement. That said, this disc is proudly shelved among all of my other Steeler discs and collectives. This is a must have for any true fan of the Black and Gold...

Steeler fans waited.....a long time
One for the thumb. When I started rooting for the Steelers, I was ten years old. I've lived my entire life in Northern California. I was raised to be an A's fan. My father would always take me to A's games. But he never took me to any Raider games. My father didn't start rooting for the Raiders until Jim Plunket was on the team. By then it was too late. I was A Steeler fan. This was, of course, after they won their forth Super Bowl.So I waited. Over Twenty Five years. Never did I consider rooting for another team. It was the greatest feeling in the world to see them win one for the thumb. Every person who had ever known me, known that I was a Steeler fan, would be thinking of me while they were being presented the Lombardi Trophy. When your team wins the Super Bowl when you are twelve years old is one thing. When you are in your mid thirties, it is something else. The extra content not broadcast on NFL Network makes these discs worth the price. Besides, only three teams have the five disc box sets. And never forget...."the wheels on the bus go round and round"

This is an awesome collection. If you are a Steelers fan, then this is a must have for your collection. Many critics have raved about the NFL America's Game Series as a whole and with good reason. Whether you liked the Steelers of the 70's or the most recent 2005 edition, this is a collection you must have in your Steelers video library. The DVD videos cover not just the 5 Super Bowls the Steelers won but all of the stories and events that accompanied the Steelers Championship seasons. Including significant events in Steelers history like the immaculate reception, City of Champions, Steelers Hall of Fame Wing, great Steelers player profiles like Running Backs Franco Harris, Rocky Blier, & Jerome Bettis, The Steel Curtain, Blitzburgh, the Tackle, Takin the BUS Home, and lots...lots more. There are many bonus great Steelers extras on each DVD. Even those these Steelers video tributes were created on DVD (instead of High Definition Blu-Ray or HD DVD) the quality is still high class on your HD environment with many video scenes created from low definition sources from the 70's before digital age. If you are a true Steelers fan, then you have to get this DVD collection.
