Cynergy USB C to DisplayPort Cable Adapter Up to 4Kx2K@60Hz with USB C Power Delivery Charging for MacBook 12" and MacBook Pro 2016 and Dell XPS 13

I never wrote a review in Amazon. But, I had to write this review because of those two wrongly written reviews up there.I was obsessed with the stability, quality, performance of the usb-c to displayport in order to run a 4k 60Hz monitor from my macbook pro. Apple's original usb-c dongle does not support the displayport. Hence, it must be a third-party dongle.I think, I tested >5 different products, including especially the highly respected 'cable matters' product. Among the 5, only cable matters product was able to match the performance, stability, and build quality of this Cynergy product. All the others were junk. However, alas, even the cable matters product flickered the monitor sometimes, while this Cynergy product never ever gave me any problem.I have been using this product for nearly two years. So far, not a single instance occurred where either the display failed to show up or flicker the monitor, what so ever.I do not understand what was wrong with those two reviews up. Perhaps their computer/gamebox hardware was faulty? My macbook pro and Cynergy usb-c to display port combination never failed so far. In fact, I just ordered another one for my wife today.

I purchased this plug because I upgraded my laptop from an older dell lattitude e series (that had displayport connectors) to a newer Lenovo X1 Carbon that had usb c connectors. This adapter works great. I plugged my displayport adapter into this usb c-to-displayport adapter and the monitor that I had connected is working well.

I purchased this device to connect a Chromebook Pixel 2 to a 4K display and power simultaneously via the same USB-C port. Display connectivity works fine but the Chromebook won't charge while connected to power via this adapter. That makes it pretty useless to me. I already have USB-C to DisplayPort adapters but those prevent charging from the same port. Very frustrating. Instead I will need to purchase the StarTech version which costs more than twice as much.

Stopped working within a month. The connection is super unstable and I would not like to take the risk of damaging my laptop. I've lost the original package and not sure if I can get a refund.
