The PZL P.11c fighter was developed by Zygmunt Putawski from the earlier PZL P7 design. The first prototype PZL P.11 was first flown in August 1931. In 1933 a batch of P.11a aircraft was built for the Polish Air Force, followed by a batch of P.11b version for Rumania. 175 of the improved P.11c version were built during 1935-1936.
