Too hard to lift cover
I mounted this cover lift according to instructions and it was horrible! It took 2 people to raise it after removing the cover. I changed the mount to the alternate position and drilled a bunch more holes in my NEW hot tub and it was still ridiculously hard to raise from covered and to raise it to replace the cover over the hot tub. Now I’ve got 16 holes on both sides of the hot tub that look like crap. I’m a general contractor and know how to attach these, so I can’t imagine the regular person doing any better. DONT BUY THIS LIFT!!!!

It does the trick.
Affordable. Arrived quick. Simple design. Directions were a little vague on a couple steps, but the pictures helped. Got it installed with no issues and it works exactly as it should. Great for tight spaces and easily adjustable.

Not real sturdy.
We have put them on our spa, but it takes both of us to lift the cover up with them. It seems like the bar going across the spa is not very strong and the whole thing tweaks. Have had other makes that work much better.

NOT hydraulic. Buyer beware
This hot tub cover lift is advertised as a hydraulic hot tub lifter. IT IS NOT! It is merely a pivot arm that helps support the weight of the hot tub cover as you lift it. All manual. No hydraulic support at all

Crap less than 1 month and broke
1. It broke. Broke at the part that needs to be the strongest. And of course it broke just outside the Amazon allowed return window. 2. It rusts, it has rust after 1 month. Not 1 year. 4 weeks. It’s an outdoor system that needs to be rust proof. DON’T BOTHER, even if it’s on sale.

Not for outdoor installs
Functionally it works fine, however it started rusting within a few weeks of installation. We are only a few months in (Oct review on July purchase) and the rust is pretty significant. I doubt it will last a year at this rate.

I like it keeps the cover off the ground .
If they added a Gas strut or spring to help return it would be operated by a smaller person or would not need the wife to call to me to cover the hot tub, IDK

Hot tub cover lift
This cover lift was easy to install and easy to use. Some hot tub cover lifters can be big and bulky. This lifter fits nicely on the side of the tub and is strong enough to lift the cover with ease.

a few of the holes were not drilled...in the cross bara bit of a pain!
