My son really enjoyed playing with these water gel beads. They are very colorful and the bag contains a lot of them. However, they do get somewhat big when they are fully hydrated.

I bought 3 different brands of water beads and these were the most expensive at the time but ended up being exactly like the least expensive. The beads were slightly smaller than the middle priced brand but still good. The only negative is that the packaging doesn't mention a recommended ratio of beads to water which was 1:110 on another package and 1:144 on the internet. In the two months since I ordered these, the amount listed has gone up from 80k+500 to 100k+600 with the price staying about the same.

If you've never tried water beads before - you are going to be amazed at how large they get! I've tried a couple of the small sizes, but nothing as large as the 500 large beads in this set. I included a picture of both types of beads so you can see the size difference before they are put in the water. The next picture shows them after the small ones are full size, but the large ones need another 24 hours, at least - it's kind of funny they are in segments at this point.The colors are amazing and the small ones are gorgeous. The large ones take 1 to 2 days to get to their full size, but as you can see - they get quite huge! The red one is much bigger than the other two. It's interesting, they bounce - however, I tossed the red one to my kiddo and she missed - ohhhh baby, the red one exploded all over the table. I think it got too big as the green and blue ones had no problem bouncing. LOL!There are a bunch of uses for water beads - two of the most popular are water play for kiddos or filling vases to hold things in place. If you want the sort of invisible look, you need to use the clear beads. I noticed the color beads look a little fuzzy in water - vs. nice and round like they actually are.

I’m a little obsessed with these. I had a bbq and filled a small pool with them and it was so much fun having people guess how may there were! I also use them in vases because they are just fun to look at!

I'm really disappointed. Every one of them cracked when pulling inflated. The floors are cute and they get kind of big ish. But the flitting makes them fall apart as soon as you pick them up. They are cheap so I can't be too upset. But my kids are 3 and 5 so of course they are doing to pick at it and squeeze them!

The colors of what arrived were not as pictured. They were mostly your basic/primary colors which cause a problem as I was trying to replace someone else’s but the color was off. I figured I’d keep them to let my kids play with them, but after letting them grow full size they literally broke into pieces while being held in our hands. They are very fragile after soaking in water (no matter the size but obviously worse when full size). Big mess when they’re busted into 10000 tiny crumbs unless you’re outside!

This is an awesome pack of water beads that will last you a LONG time, no matter what you're using them for. I made the mistake of filling the bottom of a bowl with them to soak them and ended up filling 4 bowls with the beads after they expanded. A little goes a LONG way. I've used these for my kids' playtime (they're super fun to put in a big tub and let the kids play around with them using scoops, funnels, and their hands, as well as hide things in the beads and have races to see who can find the most things), and also for practical uses like putting them on top of my indoor plants before going on vacation to keep the soil moist while we're gone for a week. For the price, this would be hard to beat.
