I like this stand because it has 9 rods for holding puppets and a sturdy base. The rods are tiered to make the puppets more visible and easy to pick. I’m very glad I made this purchase!

I'd gotten several puppets for my little one. When they arrived, they were vacuum packed & were deeply wrinkled. It took some time to use a steamer to treat the wrinkles & stretch out the fabric so that it was smooth. I wanted to keep the puppets in nice condition so that it wouldn't be necessary to treat them again for wrinkles. I'd gotten large, sturdy four-inch cardboard tubes & planned to glue the bottoms of the tubes to wooden bases.Then I saw this puppet stand. It probably isn't necessary but I kept the puppets on their cardboard tubes because the tubes fit perfectly into the underside of the heads. I simply placed the tubes over the wooden posts on this stand. It has kept them nice & neat. We currently have only three puppets, but I plan to get several more so that we can put on puppet shows with the kids. This stand is especially nice because it holds nine puppets. If I order more than nine puppets, I order another stand.I do find the stand to be pretty expensive at its list price of nearly $26.00. After all, it's simply a wooden base with nine dowels inserted into nine holes. The stand is firmly glued & it has a finish on it like polyurethane. I'm sure that I could get the parts at any local craft shop, assemble one myself & spray it with clear polyurethane or some other transparent finish.If you're not skilled in crafts or you don't want to make a stand on your own, you could certainly buy this. But if you have a lot of puppets, purchasing these could get expensive. It does have advantages, including that the dowels are staggered in length, with the dowels in the back being the tallest & graduated downward in the center & front.

The piles fit in snug to the board, and it is very easy to out together. Does exactly what I needed it to, to fit a few puppets in there. Looks just like the one from our children's museum, and woks as well too!

This is a great stand for the puppets with the big heads. Wish it had room for a couple more puppets. It has room for nine. I would say this is an essential purchase if you are using the puppets with the big heads. We got the family of puppets. The grandpa and grandma, the mom and dad, and the sister and brother. They are so nice they deserve a nice stand.

Though this is listed as a puppet stand, This item is multipurpose. It’s a great way to store things and a great alternative for a balloon stuffer.
