These maps are coated so don’t mind a little rain. They are also more durable and you won’t get holes where the folds are. But the best bit is, though you should always take a map with you, a code allows you to download the map onto OS app where you can map/plan walks before you go. The app is brilliant and since you get each map on the app free with your code great value. The detail on both exactly the same and what you expect from OS maps.

OS Landranger maps undoubtedly set the Gold Standard for high quality general purpose paper maps. The 1:50,000 scale is ideal for walking in all but the most complex terrain, cycling and navigation in "terminal areas" by motorists. If you don't think these maps are simply brilliant, then it might just be your map reading skills and not the maps that are at fault.
