Luxurious and thick. Cool!

Hi, Well I just bought the 100% cotton, 1000 TC King White, on sale. I'm a total sheet snob and live in Florida where it's nothing but hot and humid everyday. I had Vera Wang 800 TC, from KOHLS with the black label and they were smooth, thick, crisp and cool. However, after COVID they changed the quality (not for the good). I tried a few other brands to my disappointment (I felt like I could poke my finger through that material). I've been tediously looking and looking for new sheets and came across California Design Den. I don't care about the cost, I just want quality fabric that is smooth, thick, crisp and cool. They feel absolutely wonderful, and fit what I have been looking for (So Far). The set actually weighs over 7 lbs. It's June in Florida with average temps of 90+ F and have had wonderful, restful, cool sleeps (So Far). We'll see come July, August at 100 F temps. I keep our bedroom in the 60's F at night, but it's still Florida with humidity. I'll give a Summer update come August. I finally found descent sheets. I just bought a second set.

Nice quality and ample fit

So many of the linens on Amazon have negative reviews just like this set has. I just received mine and unpacked them and they are currently in the washing machine. I cannot speak to their durability or actual comfort as yet, but what I can attest to is that the set I received certainly appears to be the 1,000 thread count as advertised. They felt very substantial to me as they went into the laundry. I have only slept on 1,000 TC or higher linens since I discovered their comfort over a decade ago.There are reviews for this product that say their pillowcases were not the high thread count or of low quality, but I cannot say if their products were mis-shipped or if those reviews were written by people (or competitors) with an agenda. I work in a technology field and I am certainly used to hearing fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) that is sewn by my competitors. All I can say is that my set seems nice & thick as I would expect, and the pre-washed finish seems very smooth and soft.I ordered and returned 3-4 sets of linens that did not seem to be the quality I was looking for, but these seem to fit my initial requirements. Take this review for what it's worth.

Excellent quality

Truly! These are the best sheets we've owned! The Cariloha bamboo sheets shrunk and seemed to get thinner and thinner and very wrinkled. Other Hotel sheets weren't as nice as these either. These are ample in size - tuck in at end of bed with length to fold over at top of bed and long on sides too. Makes it easy to make the bed. Thicker but not hot - no idea how this works but it does. Luxury feel - soft and smooth. Washed many times and they come out beautifully. Highly recommend!!

The sheets are very comfortable and wash well.

I was hoping for a soft silky pillowcase and was disappointed to find this one stiff and hard. I ran it through the wash twice hoping it would soften up. The material was soft and silky to the touch but thick and stiff on the pillow against my face.
