Ted Brack - Time for Heroes: A Celebration of Hibs Glorious 2016 Scottish Cup VictoryTed Brack is a retired teacher/headteacher who has supported Hibernian all his life. At the age of 68 he wondered if he would ever see Hibs winning the Scottish Cup. Last won in 1902 their failures since then were something they just wanted to forget whilst fans of other clubs were only to happy to remind them.Written in the form of a journal Brack tells the story of season 2015-16 where Hibs also endeavoured to gain promotion from the Scottish Championship back to the Premiership. Written very much from the perspective of the dyed in the wool fan Brack outlines the highs and lows of a season that many Hibs fans thought they would never see and will probably never forget.Brack also provides an insight into the events following the final whistle at Hampden. Fans of both sides ended up on the pitch and whilst he is critical of those involved he does question the role of the media in how they chose to report the happenings. As an eye witness he does provide an alternative narrative to what actually took place.As a football fan it is hard not to like this book. His love for his club is clearly apparent but what comes a very close second is his love of football. He very much sees his support for Hibs as being part of a community that is bound together by the happenings on a green piece of land 100 yards by eighty yards. If things are good there then the world as a whole is a better place.

Strictly for Hibs' fans but if you are one it's a good reminder of a great season. It's written as a diary of the season with a paragraph or two on each match and other key developments.
