Covid canceled our trip to Japan, but I still very much enjoyed reading this. I look forward to going in person!

I really was not sure how much I would like this book when I saw it, with it being advertised for 12-17 year age range. I should have bought the other, and it is in my cart now. We are looking to go to Tokyo in a couple of years and I adore planning! This is so neat and easy to understand. Straight off the bat, she explains pronunciation, which is invaluable! I am only on the first section now, and I already adore it! Looking forward to getting the second soon!

Love this book!!! Great illustrations, accurate information. I've been to Tokyo, Japan 3 times and this book is on point. We are taking our kids to Japan this summer and this is a perfect introduction to Tokyo and Japanese culture and customs. Highly recommend.

This was a great guide to Tokyo for someone who is into manga, video games, and Japan pop culture. My kids and I devoured it and took plenty of notes for our trip to Japan. And everything that she talked about proved to be useful in some way as we travelled.

I looked at a lot of different guides while researching my vacation to Japan. This book was by far the best. It gave clear practical information and pointed out all sort of cool little items. I made my husband and daughter read this in advance as well, and they agree it is super helpful. I can not recommend this book highly enough. Even though it’s done in a cute graphic novel way, you will find it much more helpful than other “professional” serious guides.

What a fantastic concept for a travel guide! We wanted some general guidance for Tokyo along with a few recommendations, and that’s exactly what you get with this. Don’t come here expecting comprehensive info like a Lonely Planet or Fodor’s guide; instead, treat it like a friend telling you about some of their favorite things to eat and experience in and near Tokyo.I wish I had a book like this for every country we’re going on our upcoming trip to Asia!

Highly recommended!
